Beaded and Glitterfied

I wanted to share my 2nd shoebox swap project for the Salt Lake City gathering I went to at the end of September. This is a book I made with my Bind It All.

I used a 1/2 inch brown coil. The front and back covers are 4 X 4 HEAVYWEIGHT coasters. I covered them with Cosmo Cricket Gretel patterned paper on both sides, then sanded the edges with my Basic Grey Precision File Set. I inked the chipboard flower with a Colorbox chalk ink pad. Then, I covered it with versamark and coated with heat n' stick powder. Then, I heated the powder (when doing this make sure not to overheat). Then I smooshed the flower into microbeads. After brushing off any loose beads, I coated the beaded flower with Art Institute glitter from my share and removed any excess by tapping the flower. Then I adhered the flower to the cover and bound it all together.

I will be working on a Bind It All tutorial and tip sheet as soon as time permits.

Stay tuned for the newest RIBBON SHARE! This will be one of the best yet! It will be posted sometime in the next 24 hours!

  3. Gorgeous Jody! Okay, what's inside? Just some regular c/s? I was thinking that I could use some of my coasters to make SOMETHING! LOL!
