Peppermint Patty Cowboys

What does a 3 hour Dallas Cowboys football game have to do with Peppermint Patties? I played with them during the entire game and then some. LOL I fell in love with the little boxes Cambria Turnbow made in September for Halloween. I printed out her tutorial and made a mental note to get right on that for Halloween goodies. LOL Clearly, that didn't happen, but I DID make some for Christmas goodies. YAY! These are so darn cute! I was making that cooing, squealing baby sound when I made them. *snicker* They are so tiny and cute. I managed to get 14 done and would have made a couple more, but I ran out of Peppermint Patties. THAT is why I hoard. Since when do I buy one of something? I ransacked my entire candy "collection" and had only bought ONE bag. *grrrr*

I followed Cambria's directions minus the scalloped edging. I also decided to make my patterned paper 1/8 inch smaller (on both width and length) than the area I was adhering it to. It drives me crazy when it hangs over the edge, so I decided matting would be best. :) No need to cause myself undue stress right? LOL The dimensions of my patterned paper pieces is 1 7/8 X 1 3/8 in case you decide to make any of these cuties. My York Peppermint Patties must have been fatter, because I could only fit 3 in my little boxes. I also only decorated the top mint, but I still sandwiched the other patties in coordinating card stock. Otherwise, they will move around in your box and look funky. LOL

Stamps: Papertrey Holiday Treats

Ink: old olive, real red

Paper: SU Dashing patterned paper, river rock, real red, old olive

Accessories: pewter brads, jumbo pewter brads, ribbon, dimensionals, Spica clear glitter pen, scalloped circle punches, smooth circle punch, dimensionals, York Peppermint Patties
Special thanks to Lorie who told me how to make a click-able link without having the big ol' address with it. LOL I know how to do it on SCS, but it is a little different on Blogger. :) She told me to type the word(s) I want to use, THEN click the little "world" and paste the link into it. On SCS you click the world *first* THEN type the word. :) So THANK YOU for helping me out! I appreciate it! :)
