My Birthday Girl

Yesterday was my baby's birthday. :) Madeline turned 7 years old! Where does the time go? This is the picture I used on her party invitation. I lightened it and then typed the info over it. She was standing nearby and watching to make sure I didn't type any words on her face. LOL She was insistent that we invite her entire class as well as all the family, so it will be a big bash on Saturday for her followed by a sleepover with 6 girls. She is SO excited!

We gave her a Spongebob Squarepants skateboard for her birthday. She is a self proclaimed "skater girl", which means that she likes to try out her brother's skateboard. LOL She can actually balance and roll for a couple seconds which is more than I can say for myself. A family member will be gifting her with protective gear to match on Saturday, so I am hoping she stays off of it until then. She is very accident prone. LOL

Madeline is a sweet girl with a quirky sense of humor. One day (at age 4) when she was being particularly slow at getting in the car, I asked her to get her bootie in the car. She immediately turned around and stuck JUST her bootie in the car. From that point on she has been keeping me in stitches. :) My silly, sweet girl. :)

Exciting Updates!

I am have been VERY busy this past 3 days trying to cut ribbon, box stuff up and sleep. LOL

Here are some wonderful updates:

Feb Polka Dot ribbon: This share has been a challenge for me. I talked extensively with the manufacturer prior to opening up the share and they assured me they had enough to cover the share orders.... but they didn't. I e-mailed often, called, e-mailed some more, asked for substitutions numerous times and FINALLY got the last of the back ordered ribbon yesterday afternoon. The red/white polka dot ribbon was not available so I asked them to send me ANY color as long as they sent it. GRRRRRR SO... in your box, in lieu of the red with white polka dots you will get either Apple Green or Maroon (which are both very nice). I cut the ribbon immediately (right that minute... literally) and got about half of the boxes mailed yesterday. I would have taken them all, but that is all that would fit in Tracy's mini van. YIKES LOL The other half are going out today. My pal, Tracy Tripp is picking me up in about 1 1/2 hours and will be driving me to the post office. :) After this trip ALL polka dot shares will be mailed! WOOHOO for that! I am so glad to be able to get these out. They are SO beautiful! So, share closed and DONE! YAY!

Prima share: I got a Prima shipment early this week. After being able to sort through it, I found that the Daisy Crazy asst B is on back order. When I called and placed the order, I was told there was enough in stock... but there wasn't (do you see a pattern here? UGH). I e-mailed customer service and was told their shipment will be arriving around April 2nd and that the BO Primas will ship out a couple days after that. So, for those who have ordered Daisy Crazy or Prima Lovers, the wait will be a little longer. :) I will be calling on April 2, and April 3rd and April 4th and so on until they ship out. As soon as they ship out I will let you all know. I will have the rest of the flowers ready to go so that when they do get here I'll add the rest of the Daisies and be able to ship quickly. :) For those that joined the Essentials or Got Flowers share, I will be shipping those early next week and will update when that is done. :) I will start a new, different Prima share when this one is complete and shipped. :)

May Arts share: OOOooooo Ahhhhhhh, it is SO pretty! I have been working like crazy to get this cut and shipped out. MANY boxes went out yesterday. I just got another shipment in last night, so I will be busily cutting and boxing that and will ship out early next week. I have a couple more share spots to fill and then this round of May Arts will be closed. I will be starting a new May Arts share in April and let me say it is BEAUTIFUL ribbon. I just got my sample order in last night and ooooooo ahhhhhhhh is all I can say. *drool*

Doing the Happy Dance!

Why you ask? I got a shipment of May Arts (more coming this week) and a shipment of Primas! I need to rip open those boxes and get to work! :) The next round of shipments will go out on Thursday. I will be cutting, wrapping, sorting and bagging tonight and tomorrow. :)

My Sweet Daughter!

My daughter, Bailey (9) LOVES to stamp. She is excited when my table is cleaned off enough that she can actually sit at my stamp table with me. Last week, I was stamping and she came in and sighed. When I looked over and asked her what was wrong, she said, "I wish I could stamp." I told her to come in and have a seat. She knows where the paper is she can use (my extensive scrap boxes) and how to choose stamp sets and ink pads. She went to work immediately picking out this great color combo of Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink and Shimmery Copper. :) She asked me not to look as she was working, which truth be told wasn't hard since I didn't have my glasses on. LOL When she was done she presented me with my gift. Needless to say I cried (my friends will not be surprised) LOL. I thought it was SO sweet. It reads:

Awwwwwww, it makes me tear up reading it again. It is just so amazing how these little people we call children love us so much even after we make them clean their rooms. LOL I thought I would share this sweet stamped piece with you. I am indeed, a proud Mommy! :)

She will probably read this. She has a knack for searching and finding my blog and gallery. She is SO funny when she gets on the computer. She actually likes to browse the gallery at www.splitcoaststampers.com . She goes to the gallery and searches my name, finds my gallery and looks at all the cards I have made. LOL She also knows how to scroll through today's additions. Once, she was on their computer and I had apparently been on there and was signed in under my SCS name. She actually commented on a card! What did she say? FAB CARD! LMBO! Silly girl! Now, I make sure I am signed off just in case. LOL

• All March solid grosgrain and striped ribbon shipped yesterday. • I shipped out the first round of May Arts ribbon already. The remainder of the ribbon is on it's way to me. I have several shipments coming and I think they will all be here next week. • I have been asked about my next share. I am already in the planning stages. :) YAY I will post the details in the beginning of April. The next share will be from May Arts again and you can look forward to: sheer organdy polka dot ribbon, gingham ribbon, 1/4 and 1/8 inch ric rac, double stitched ribbon, and square stitched ribbon. *drool drool* I ordered a sample of each so you can look forward to some PRETTY PRETTY pictures when I post the share. YUM!
• All Prima flowers are on their way to me. They should also arrive next week. As soon as they come in, I will sort them quickly and send them out. The payment deadline for the Prima shares has come and gone. I will be e-mailing those who have not send payment with one final chance to pay. Then, I will open up those open shares again this coming week.
• Polka dot share: I am waiting on ONE color! I have e-mailed them almost daily and am waiting on a response. I am ready to get these boxes out. The rest of the 19 colors are cut, sorted and boxes already. As SOON as I get the last color, they will go postal. :)

Updates for the day!

Polka Dot Ribbon Share (not May Arts): I received the pink/black polka dot ribbon last night. I am waiting on just ONE more color. I am hoping it gets here soon so I can get this ribbon on to you all. I have all the boxes ready for the last color. As soon as it comes in I will cut it and get these shipped. I have been in contact with the company and am working with them to get the ribbon here quickly. I shipped group A on Tuesday afternoon.


Prima Share Update: All Primas have been ordered. They have not shipped out to me yet. I called yesterday to follow up and plan to call again today. I am hoping it ships out by Friday at the latest.


May Arts update: All shares are still open. All ribbon has been ordered and most has shipped already. The most recent order placed should ship today. I have cut and sorted the first shipment. I will be shipping out 5, "all 5" shares and several single share orders this afternoon. As soon as more ribbon comes in, I will update again. :)


March solid/striped ribbon share Update: I sent out 8 all stripe shares on Tuesday afternoon. The rest of the solid and striped ribbon will be finished today. I plan to ship out all shares this afternoon.

Polka Progress

I just wanted to take a minute to update everyone that joined the polka dot share earlier this month (not the current May Arts share). My ribbon cutting angel, Tracy Tripp has been cutting ribbon like crazy! :) Thank goodness for friends who love ribbon as much as I do. LOL This ribbon is cut, bundled and ready to go. I am just waiting on 2 more colors that were back ordered. I have e-mailed the company this evening and expect to hear back on Monday. The two colors that are back ordered are pink & black and Red & white. I am hoping they will ship soon so I can get all this wonderful ribbon to you! It is SO SO SO pretty! *drool drool*

I will keep you updated as I get more info, but thought you might enjoy drooling over the piles of wonderful ribbon. I must say, I will probably miss it when it is gone. LOL It greets me every morning and keeps a smile on my face when I see it. Just kidding... (kinda LOL)

The solid and striped March share ribbon (not May Arts) came in Friday night. There were no back orders. That should be shipping this coming week. I will notify you all here on my blog when that happens.

So much excitement for one day!

WOW, what a productive day I have had!

The NEW and EXCITING ribbon shares are rolling. I placed an order today for some NEW RIBBON SHARES! I am SO excited about them! When I receive shipping confirmation I will post more details! :) For now... here are a few hints: soft velvet, beautiful new stripes, skinny stitches, dots all in a row and "specialty" velvet. Spots will be limited since the ribbon has already been ordered! Watch my blog closely in the next couple days for the details on these beautiful ribbons! :) *I am flushed and feel faint just THINKING about them* LOL

I organized the Prima share this morning and placed the first order today. If needed, I will place another one in a week or two. I like the turn around to be as quick as possible! I know I don't like to wait, so I work as fast as possible so YOU don't have to. :)

Updates Galore!

Hi all! I had given up hope on the polka dotted ribbon by about 7 pm last. :( BUT, to my surprise I heard the rumble of the UPS truck at almost 8 pm! YAY! I ripped into the boxes in about 1 minute! LOL It is SO SO pretty! I got MOST of the ribbon, but there are 3 1/2 colors on back order. I have sent another e-mail to the manufacturer and hope to hear back with an ETA on Monday. In the meantime, I will be busy working on the dots. Awwwwww they are SO SO cute! :) *happy dance*

Oh Where Oh Where....

*SIGH* I am impatiently waiting for the polka dot ribbon to arrive. I was told it shipped out Friday. I *think* it will be here tomorrow. Unfortunately, I have been informed that there are some back orders. This means that I will be waiting for all of it to arrive prior to mailing it out due to the fact that at least one color from each group is on back order. I was told worst case scenario was 3 weeks to ship from now. I am working with the company to move it along as quickly as possible (as usual). With any luck we won't have to wait that long. :)

Hi all! The time is here for the March ribbon share! :) I had many readers miss the deadline for the last one and am ready to take on another one. :) The details are below. I am offering a solid and striped share for now. There are only 3 days to sign up! Deadline is March 11th at noon for sign up and payment. Check out the details below!

March Grosgrain ribbon share

• 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon (NOT SU most colors will match SU colors. some are repeats of past shares.)

This card used Basic Grey perhaps collection (6 X 6 pad). The Bella stamp came from: http://www.stampingbella.com/index.php?cPath=23

Bella was colored in using Watercolor Crayons and an aquapainter from Stampin' Up! The stitches are faux. I used my paper piercer to poke holes all along the card stock and then connected them with a white gel pen available from Stampin' Up! The jewel brads are Making Memories and were purchased at Michaels. The bling in her hair is a pack of jewels purchased in the jewelery section (store unknown). The tab is a punch available from Stampin' Up! Happy Day stamp is from A Muse!

Basic Grey OBSESSED!

*Whew* I am in looooooove with the newest Basic Grey collections. I am in AWE of their beauty. I am not even sure which is my favorite. I originally thought Stella Ruby, then leaned toward Phoebe. Tomorrow, I may change my mind again. LOL

Just Because... you took my son to a monster truck show

This is a card I stamped for this week's color challenge on SCS. The colors were:

This patterned paper is from the new Basic Grey Stella Ruby collection. I LOVE it. :) The flower is using the Petal Pushers stamp set from Stampin' Up! It is stamped using Craft inks on shimmery vanilla paper (got from cpw3431, link to the left). The sentiment is from A Muse.

This card will be going to a wonderful family that invited my son, Nathan to a monster truck show this past weekend. He had a blast and I wanted to send them a thank you for including him.

Primas gone postal!

Today I mailed off all Prima shares that had been paid. This includes paypal, check and money orders.

Tickled Pink

I am breaking in my Prego Bella some more. She is SO SO cute!

I colored her in using watercolor crayons. I also used my new Basic Grey Perhaps patterned paper.

Primas Have Arrived!

WOOHOO Prima flowers are in the house. They arrived last night and there are NO back orders! I will work on them starting tonight. I'll keep you updated during the process and let you know when they are being mailed.

Bellas Baby!

The problem is that while I enjoyed BUYING them, I had not inked them up yet. LOL Today I was on a mission to break them in (before I get my THIRD order in the mail heehee). Here is a card I made for a friend of mine that is about 11 weeks pregnant. Our friendship dates back to middle school! WOW! She is pregnant with her first baby. I wasn't sure it was ever going to happen. LOL I am not sure what the sex of the baby is just yet, but Boy oh Boy works anyway... Inside the card I will write: I can't believe you are pregnant, congratulations!

Bella is colored with watercolor crayons from Stampin' Up and an aquapainter. I made the scalloped edge with my corner rounder.
