Ribbon Share

Hi all!

I just wanted to update you on the current solid grosgrain ribbon share. :) This is a picture of the 1st order which has been received. Aren't those colors YUMMY!?!?!?! Those of you who count will note that there are 19 spools of 5/8 inch. :) I have been in contact with the company and have requested a substitution in color so *hopefully* it will ship out today.
I placed the 3rd and final order today. All ribbon is now ordered!
I had some requests for ONLY 5/8 inch since many of you have already done my 1/4 inch solid shares. I went ahead and ordered enough 5/8 ribbon to offer it as a single share. YAY! I only have about 15 spots for this share and will not re-order more any time soon. If you'd like to sign up, please do it quickly as the spots will go fast.
details:
  • 20 colors 5/8 inch ribbon
  • colors coordinate with SU colors (colors may vary from those shown in photo because of potential back orders)
  • 5 yards of each color
  • 100 yards total
  • $30 including shipping

No extra shipping for Canada!

Saturday LSS Stamping

On Saturday my LSS had a "Christmas in July" card making gathering. We took things we wanted to work on and socialized. It was fun. I must say it was a bit *strange* to hear Christmas music playing and work on some Christmas cards, but the good news is I actually made a few. LOL

I got 6 Christmas cards done. They are all the same. Have I mentioned I cannot stand mass producing cards! B O R I N G! LOL

After the 6 were done, I moved on to a Bella card that was absolutely hideous. Then, I managed to make one that I thought was "okay". Above are the pictures of everything I got done in 7 hours. LOL A little stamping, a little eating, a little shopping and a LOT of chatting. LOL

More DTGD Stamping

Here are some more cards I made for the Dare to Get Dirty challenges on SCS. :) I have definitely built up my card stash a little! LOL I am hoping to get some more made in the next day or two. :)

Again, sorry about the intrusion of western themed cards. I am obsessed. LOL *note to self* pull out flower sets soon!

Dare to Get Dirty Stamping!

I made several cards today for the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges that are going on right now at http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ .

As I mentioned before, I am a cowgirl for the week. LOL I can't put these western sets away! YEE HAW! LOL

I have decided that Tres Chic (background stamp by Stampin Up) belongs with these western sets. I have been using Bronc Buster, Wanted, Tres Chic and Sanded for the past 8 cards I have made. I will *try* to put them away and grab something else, but no promises ok? LOL

Good news and bad news...

The good news is that I received the 1st ribbon shipment today! YAY The bad news is that there is one spool missing GRRRRRRRR! I have already e-mailed the company to let them know and requested them to send me the missing ribbon. The 2nd order has already shipped out to me, so I will be able to pull a spool from that shipment and get the 1st group out as soon as that 2nd shipment comes. By then I should also have the replacement ribbon. *crossing fingers*

I will be placing the 3rd and final order on Sunday night. At that time I will close the share. There are still a handful of spots open, but they are going quickly.

Have a great night!

Ribbon Share Update

Hi all!

I just wanted to update you on the current ribbon share. I have already placed a 2nd order for ribbon. In a couple days, I will be placing the 3rd. As soon as I receive the 1st shipment, I will get busy cutting and mailing. :) I still have spots open for the share! To join, read all the details here: http://confessionsofaribbonaddict.blogspot.com/2007/07/its-time-for-ribbon-share.html

Spots are limited and the share is *close* to being full.

Thanks to all who have joined and as always I will be updating you right here on my blog! :)

Stampin' the Day Away!

Yesterday I had some friends over for some stamping. I managed to crank out 5 cards and the ladies who came over made many of their own. I will try to get them photographed and uploaded this week. :)

I challenged them with different "tasks" throughout the evening to get their creative juices flowing! It was a ton of fun!

SCS launched "Dare to Get Dirty" on Wednesday! 7 days packed with challenges from the Dirty Dozen past and present! There are a ton of them to do and you will definitely have fun! :) Check it out here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/news/comments.php?id=608_0_1_0_C

The card above was a card I made for my own Dare to Get Dirty Challenge! :) I was in a BRADDY mood!
I have a confession... I am not a "cowgirl". I am not a country girl. I don't know how to ride a horse. I don't own a pair of cowboy boots. All that aside... I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new western sets in the Stampin' Up catalog. I can't put them away!
I have another confession... my first choice pick for a new set in the Stampin Up catalog was Priceless. I was in love. I think it's beautiful... graceful... dainty... YET, guess what? I assaulted the poor set! I literally threw it across the room in frustration the other day! I cannot make a decent card to save my life! So, what's a girl to do? I sold it last night WITH its matching brass stencil to my friend Patty! *sigh* I am sad and defeated! Anyone else? LOL P.S. I reserve the right to re-buy it if I change my mind. LOL
Have a great night! I am off to browse the gallery on SCS and check out all the challenge cards that have been uploaded. :)

It's Time for a RIBBON SHARE!

WOOHOO!

I am excited to announce the NEW ribbon share!

I do not have it in hand yet, but it is all on the way. I received confirmation that everything shipped, so I shouldn't have to worry about back orders and can tell you about it now. :)

Introducing 5/8 inch grosgrain in colors that coordinate with SU colors. :) I was excited to see it in the new SU catalog, but with a price tag of $.53 per yard BEFORE shipping and tax I said, no thank you! You can say YES, for LESS than half the price! :) YAY AND I am offering 20 colors! Of course, I couldn't forget about the lonely 1/4 inch so I am doing that also in 20 colors! You need to be able to mix and match widths! :)

NOTE: All pre-ordered ribbon has been sold, but I will order more as necessary so feel free to continue signing up and sending payment. I will post when I am closing the share. :) Thanks!

Here are the details:

5/8 inch solid grosgrain

  • 20 colors!
  • 5 yards of each color
  • 100 yards total
  • coordinating colors include soft pink, vanilla, chocolate, burgundy, wasabi, steel grey, navy, light blue, lilac, sage artichoke and MORE!

1/4 inch solid grosgrain

  • 20 colors
  • 5 yards of each color
  • 100 yards total
  • coordinating colors include: steel grey, white, vanilla, mustard, rose, red, burgundy, navy, wasabi, guava and MORE!

The cost for BOTH shares is only $38 plus shipping of $7 for a total of $45! That averages out to only $.23 a yard including shipping! I am only offering these together as a package at this time. :)

Like I mentioned there are very limited spots available for the already ordered ribbon, but I will re-order once all spots are filled. Colors in re-ordered shares may vary slightly in the event of back orders.

No extra shipping for Canada!

I KNOW WHY...

I have made a connection to why I am loving Rubber ROMANCE right now. My anniversary is in 2 days. LOL Maybe that's why I am feeling the love? LOL

Okay, I thought I was done, but I decided to make another Rubber Romance card last night since the stamps were still sitting on my table. This time I pulled out my new tres Chic background stamp by Stampin Up and an AMuse sentiment. I used the scalloped punch behind the main panel and then added the sentiment to the front of the main panel. I got the idea for that part from Karen's card: http://gamblemom.blogspot.com/2007/07/beates-sketch-challenge-10.html .
I am going to *try* to put away reading girl now although I must admit I love this stamp. It will be semi-easy to do though because I just got my order from eclectic Paperie http://www.eclecticpaperie.com/rubberromance.html today and guess what was in there? LMBO! Yep... a few more Rubber Romance girls as well as a few other goodies. :) LOL I guess maybe I should put them ALL away and dig into my new SU stuff. Hmmmm, what to stamp tonight? Maybe I'll get something done and can post tomorrow.
Have a wonderful evening!

I'm Rockin?

WOOHOO! I was chosen by Trina at: http://trinastreasures.blogspot.com/ as a rockin' blogger! What I can tell you about Trina is that she is a fellow ribbon addict! :)
Now I need to choose 5 rockin' bloggers so here they are:
I read a LARGE number of blogs and it was really hard to choose just 5.

Upcoming Ribbon Share!

Oh my goodness! I am SO excited. I just placed an order for the upcoming ribbon share. I want to have the ribbon in hand prior to offering it so that I can ship out immediately upon payment. :) There will be VERY FEW spots available so watch my blog for an announcement in the next week or so. After all in-hand ribbon is sold, I will start a waiting list and then place another order.

I'll give you a hint... it's all about matching our favorite card stock and ink colors! You'll be pleased. Many of you have asked about the cost so you can save your stamping pennies. :) I am pleased to tell you that you can get a full share of both types being offered for less than $40 plus shipping.

Have a great day! :)

The Romance is Gone! wahhhhhhhh

Well... not really gone, but this is the last of 3 cards that I stamped on Saturday with my newish Rubber Romance girls! :) The good news is that I already have more on the way! LOL I guess I better get back in stamp room and get busy huh? LOL I have plenty of new rubber that is ready to get inky! :)
Have a great day!

YeeHaw I Love Romance!

I stamped three Rubber Romance cards yesterday! I went to the LSS, with a local pal Dora for Amuseapalooza. We had finished the make and takes and instead of continuing using all my A Muse stamps, it was time to break into the Rubber Romance I had gotten last month. Again, I must say I am in LOVE with this image. I am so not a country girl, don't really know any country girls, but Shannan made me want this one. After I saw a card she made on her blog, I went to: http://www.eclecticpaperie.com/index.html to give them a second look and ended up with 3 of them as well as the city building scene.

As soon as I got home from the LSS last night, I went BACK to eclectic Paperie and bought some more! AND I e-mailed the owner of the site and asked her to let me know when the rest of the ones I want are back in stock. LOL BAD! I prefer the unmounted (half the price), which can be adhered to your acrylic block with double sided tape, tack and peel (awesome stuff) OR cling foam (which I used). The Easy Mount cling foam allows you to have the cushion comfort of rubber mounted, while maintaining less storage space.

So, thank you Shannan for flinging a craving on me. *wink* If you want to see Shannan's card that sparked all this craziness here it is: http://withfeathersandsequins.blogspot.com/2007/06/howdy-yall.html

A Love Affair With Rubber Romance

I got some AWESOME Rubber Romance unmounted stamps from Eclectic Paperie in June and I finally got around to using them. I must say it is love at first sight. I am not a huge fan of coloring, but I thoroughly enjoyed using these stamps. I can't wait to get more! I got the stamp here:

stamp: Rubber Romance girlfriends on a bench

inks: regal rose, rose red, choc chip, close to cocoa, blush blossom

paper: SU regal rose, choc chip, naturals ivory, Basic Grey Infuse

accessories: aquapainter, clear button, Prima flower, copper brads, dimensionals, sponge

A Cool Idea

Tracey, from http://starvingartistamps.com/index.html has a very COOL idea for over-stocked rubber stamp images. If you want to read about her plight to sell 1 million stamps for a dollar, check out the blog here:

The card above uses some of her newest images from a western style sheet. It has the COOLEST ever tooled leather BG on it. It is to die for! I used it on the BG, although I stamped it in Versamark so it is not very visible. Too see the entire sheet of stamps (which sells for only $24.95), click here: http://starvingartistamps.com/southwest_sheet_1.html

A Visit from Karen

I have had a visitor since Sunday afternoon! My friend, Karen came to El Paso for some giggling and stamping.

We did plenty of shopping, stamping and even a little gambling! I think we are the ultimate enablers for each other. What do you get when you put 2 ladies together who love to do all the above? An empty wallet and LOTS of fun! :) We managed to crank out quite a few cards! The Bella card in the previous post was one of them. :) I will be able to share more soon!

I dropped her off at the airport tonight at about 9. I was sad to see her go, but in a little more than 2 months there will be a gathering of friends in Sandy, Utah! YAY! I can't wait to see old friends again and meet some new ones IRL for the 1st time!

Bella Hugs!

I have quite the Bella collection going and decided yesterday I would actually USE one! :)

This is one of the newest Bellas. :)

cardstock: Stampin Up artichoke, naturals ivory, regal rose, choc chip, Basic Grey Infuse: http://www.eclecticpaperie.com/bagrin.html
ink: timber brown Stazon, various SU re-inkers
accessories: Ribbon from one of my past ribbon shares, Heidi Swapp clear flower (LOVE THESE), Hoedgepodge hardware by Stampin Up, Heidi Swapp flower jewel, oval punch by SU, dimensionals by SU, sponge, aquapainter (SU)

Craft Critique

I was blog browsing this afternoon and came across a "ribbon carnival". Craft Critique is a report type blog that outlines what's new in the world of stamping, places to buy things, opinions etc. I like to read it daily and in the process am often enabled. LOL

Today, I was shocked to see my name in there. :)

Here is what they had to say:

Ribbon shares are a great way to get a huge sampling of quality ribbon for a great price and Jody always seems to have one going on.

Well, thank you Craft Critique for the mention. :)

Here is a link to the Ribbon Carnival post so you can see lots of ideas for using, storing and buying ribbon.

http://www.craftcritique.com/feeds/posts/default

Speaking of ribbon shares, I DO have one in the works. It is a GOOD one! I am *trying* to give everyone a break until closer to the end of the month since the new Stampin' Up catalog JUST came out and I know I for one was VERY VERY VERY bad! EEK! So, try saving some stamping pennies for the newest share coming up. If you love Stampin' Up colors you'll be all over it! :)

More posts to come....
