Rockstar!

Hi all! It is time for the official MFTeasers to begin! For the next three days I will be posting projects made with the soon-to-be-released stamp sets from My Favorite Things! This card was made using a NEW stamp set from a NEW line, from MFT! Are you with me? Kim (MFT genius) gave her daughter the opportunity to design her OWN LINE of stamps! What a COOL mom is she? Really... what 16 year old has the opportunity to design her own line of stamps and work with an illustrator to execute her vision? Brianna does! Her new line is named BCDzyns and you can get YOUR set on September 3rd! I must say I am rather impressed! This set is perfect for sassy stampers of all ages!

When I made this card, I had my 8 year old daughter Madeline in mind. She is sassy and likes to "play" like she is a rocker. She requests some music for her IPod that I think is HILARIOUS! Her most recent request was "Bad Case of Loving You" by Robert Palmer! Wow... rocker girl! LMBO! You should see her dancing around singing that song!

So in honor of Madeline, I must introduce you to ROCKER CHICA! I vamped her up with a diamond choker and a TATTOO! Check out the smokey eyeshadow! I only wish I could apply makeup on MYSELF this well! LMBO! I added some Heidi Swapp ghost shape stars (I am now out of these... the panic is setting in), and a cool button I got from Walmart. It had a little loopy thing on the back, but I snipped it off with some wire cutters and adhered the button with a glue dot. I thought it looked rock starish! *wink* I tied in the theme with my musical note embossing folder and roughed up the edges since we all know rockers are edgy!

To make the tattoo on her arm, I cut the logo off the special "stamped by" stamp in the set and used it alone on her arm. Again, do not be afraid to cut up your acrylic stamps. You can always position them back together on the acrylic block when you want to use them together. It makes your stamp sets more versatile and you can get creative with them. :)

Stamps: Hey Chica MFT (available on Sept 3rd at 8:30 mountain time)

Ink: Memento Black

Paper: black, grey, pink, PTI white

Accessories: Heidi Swapp ghost shape stars, button, silver brad, Janome sewing machine, Tonic paper distresser, ribbon
