Mouse-Clicks

Sorry I have been such a bad blogger! I have been MIA for 2 weeks! I am getting ready for a move and it is SO much work! I have already packed and purged a ton of stuff in my house. I am moving in SEVEN short days! EEEEK!

I have been stamping this past week to prepare for my stamp class on May 31st! I will share my class project with you all as soon as I can. For now, I have a project I worked on today.

I saw this idea on someones blog a while back. I cannot for the life of me recall who it was, so if it is YOU please shoot me an e-mail so I can give you credit. :)

I desperately needed a book I could use to jot down all the websites I visit along with the log in names and passwords. I need to be prepared in the event my computer were to crash. LOL I mean... how am I going to shop if I don't have all my account information on hand? :)

I used a Bella that is perfect for the occasion! Clickabella! The sentiment is actually "I'm just a mouse-click away." The create the sentiment I inked up just mouse-click with my chocolate chip marker and stamped. Then I inked up ONLY the s in "just". I drew a line on my acrylic block to show me where the S was that I wanted to stamp at the end of my word. Then, I lined up the sentiment and stamped the S. It only took me two tries. :) I thought "mouse-clicks" was a cute sentiment for my book.

The image is colored with Copic markers! Some of you have asked which variety I use and the answer is SKETCH. Why? I like the brush tip of the marker and the number code and color printed on the cap. Honestly, it really doesn't matter which type you buy I don't think. They are just awesome to color with and I need to expand on my 30 colors ASAP!

The flower embellishment was made by stacking two large Primas and then adhering the sentiment that was stamped, then punched with my SU oval punch. I matted it with the larger oval punch, pierced around the edge and then adhered it to the flower using the BLACK FOAM BOOSTERS! Those things are awesome! Speaking of... I have heard from MANY of you who purchased the sticky sale boosters. I am SO glad that you are enjoying them as much as I do! A little hint: to remove the red film, just rub your paper piercer along the edge of it. It will help the liner come off. I HAVE to use this method since I am a nail biter! EWWW! I know... I know! :( Just wait til you see the NEW sticky stuff I will be offering in June and in the months to come! *exciting!*

I finished off this book by adding 6 card stock pages in between a stack of white copy paper pages. I then added a tab to each divider so I can organize my entries by type. I haven't labeled them yet, but I will soon!
Stamps: Bella image and sentiment
Ink: palette burnt umber
Paper: Basic Grey Sultry, vanilla, chocolate chip, white copy paper
Accessories: bind it all, coil, dew drops, copic markers, oval punches, tab punch, black foam boosters, heavy weight coasters, sticky dots

Cowgirl Star

This stamp was a gift from my wonderful friend, KAREN! She is so sweet! :) I had it sitting on my desk and decided to give it a whirl. The image is stamped in chocolate craft ink. See the barbed wire stamped in Versamark on the main panel? I LOVE that stamp. It is made by the same company, Deadbeat Designs. They offer a whole line of "Texan" stamps.

After I stamped all the pieces of the card, I taped them all down. I then cut out the largest star from the STICKY STARS and laid it in the corner where I wanted it. This went over 3 different layers of card stock. Then I removed the red liner, heated lightly and dumped some chocolate glitter over the star! I added a center star embellishment (stamp also from Deadbeat) and popped that up using a RED LINE CIRCLE BOOSTER. It is adhered tightly even though it is attached to glitter. :) I finished off the card by adding some distressed edges to some of the layers.
Sketch is from The Cat's Pajama's Tuesday. Check it out HERE!

TIP: If you have already assembled your card and decide you want to distress the edges of your card stock, simply use a bone folder to pry up the edges and distress. I rub back and forth under the layer and sometimes curl it with my fingertips.

Stamps: Deadbeat Designs, SU BG, Hero Arts flourish

Ink: chocolate craft, Versamark, blue bayou

Paper: blue bayou, BoBunny Patterned Paper, soft sky, chocolate chip

Accessories: STICKY STAR, copper brads, help, Nestabilities, circle punch, TWIG glitter, tonic paper distresser, bone folder
Remember, the STICKY SALE ends on Wednesday evening. I will be calling in the final order on Thursday morning.

Sparkly Flowers

I made this card for this week's SKETCH CHALLENGE on SCS! Thank you to AmyR who designed the awesome sketch.

I stamped the image in Palette Noir and colored it in with my Copic markers. I did lots of blending. My color inspiration was a piece of patterned by BoBunny. Once I was done with most of the card and the coloring, I couldn't seem to fit the paper in the card! *grumble* It matches the ribbon too! *sigh*

I added a piece of RIC RAC STICKY TAPE to two of the corners and dusted it with Dazzling Diamonds. I think it added a nice, non-overpowering dazzle. :) The splatters on the focal image were done by holding my Copic marker and blasting it with my air art tool (SU). THAT was a challenge trying to stay coordinated enough to do it, but it worked! :) YAY! I added a few "splats" of blush blossom to look like the flowers were spraying a bit of pollen.

Stamps: Penny black image and sentiment, SU BG, CHF BG

Ink: Palette Noir, white craft, blue bayou

Paper: soft sky, blush blossom, blue bayou, watercolor paper

Accessories: BoBunny ribbon, STICKY RIC RAC, Spica glitter pen, RED LINE boosters, Nestabilities, air art tool, sponge, white EP

REMEMBER: the STICKY SALE is almost over. I will stop taking orders on Wednesday evening. CLICK HERE for details.

Super Sticky Techniques

I wanted to show you all a couple uses for some of the super sticky products in the STICKY SALE. For more information on the sale click HERE!

This is an experiment I did with the RED LINE dimensional boosters. I stuck a booster on a piece of card stock. Then, I stuck my CROPODILE to the booster. I had my hubby hold the paper up while I took a photo! YES, it is hanging! He said, "WOW, that is heavy... COOL." LOL It stayed that way for quite a while before it dropped. I tried with a white foam, "regular" dimensional booster and it wouldn't hold it at all. It immediately ripped off.

Next, I chose a sticky star. I cut it out from the sheet and adhered it to some card stock.
see it stuck on there? I removed the red liner, then turned it over and adhered it. Then, I removed the white liner. It will also work if you remove the star with the red liner attached and stick it down, then remove the red liner. Handle with care to ensure it retains it's shape.
Now, dump glitter all over it!

TADA! A beautiful, glittered star!

I grabbed another star and cut it out.

Then, I adhered it to card stock.

Now, dump microbeads all over it. (I heated lightly prior to dumping the beads on. You will get an even STRONGER bond.)

TADA... beaded star!

Now, I added some glitter to make it sparkle a little.

Finished beaded and slightly sparkly star! COOL!

I grabbed a sticky dot and a Prima flower.

Stick the dot on the center of the Prima and remove the red liner.

Dump glitter over the red line dot.

TADA glitter centered Prima flower!

I found a clear button!

Adhere the sticky dot to the back side of the button.

Remove the red liner and dump glitter all over the red line adhesive!

Here is the finished button sitting on top of a Prima flower so you can see what it would look like.

The finished button alone:

Here, I adhered the red line ric rac to my card stock, heated lightly, then dumped black fun flock over it. It sticks SO WELL! We can call that FAUX RIBBON! :) Imagine the possibilities!

If you have any questions about the products, please feel free to send me an e-mail. :)

GIRL-Friends Furever!

I got a super-special sneak peek of a soon-to-be-released stamp set by My Favorite Things from Kim! YAY! Aren't these images the cutest? You can purchase your set on Wednesday night! You can read more details about MFT release day over on Carole's blog. Man's best friend just got an upgrade to WOman's best friend. :) I dressed the "boy" in pink and I think "he" is looking quite girly now. My daughter, Madeline has a little bob haircut, so we'll call her Madeline! :)

I paper pieced her shorts with Sultry Basic Grey paper. The images are colored with Copic markers. The dog's collar is blinged up with some My Mind's Eye crystals. I molded the ends of the dog bone to give it some dimension.

Stamps: Friends Furever by MFT

Ink: Palette Noir

Paper: Basic Grey Sultry, pretty in pink, chocolate chip, PTI white

Accessories: May Arts ribbon (from the last share), copper brads, My Minds' Eye crystals, super STICKY dimensionals, Janome sewing machine, paper distresser

This month, in lieu of a ribbon share I will be doing something STICKY! Stay tuned in the next couple days for details. A hint: if you were at the gathering in Arlington, you probably saw me using this product. Another hint: you NEED this! :)
