You might remember my post from a couple days ago where I altered the packaging on some tub tablets. If not, you can click HERE to view that project. This time, I am using a "package" of Peeps chap stick. Isn't it cute? :) The little peep is cute, but I wanted to use my little peeps bunny stamp (Michael's dollar spot last year) so I needed to change the packaging. I just couldn't bring myself to mix bunny Peeps and chick Peeps. It just seemed WRONG. LOL
I ripped off the plastic packaging from the existing cardboard backing.
It popped off SUPER easily, but some of the printing remained on the packaging. To remove it, simply sand lightly using fine grit sandpaper or a sanding block.
After I sanded it lightly, I adhered it to the base of a Treat Wrap die cut (available HERE right here on my blog). I used Crystal Effects and just stuck it down. Of course, make sure you can read the Peeps label... just for effect. LOL Oh and how do you like the instructions on the chap stick? Apply smoothly and evenly on lip. LMBO! Ummmm, thanks for that! LOL Unlike Liquid Applique I DO know how to apply chap stick! *whew*
I added a simple panel on the inside of the Treat Wrap.
I dressed up the front with the cute sentiment and a cut out peep from my stamp. I love how you can see the back panel and the chap stick through the little window.
This picture I HAD to add. After all, I opened up a package of Peeps JUST to use in the photos. LOL They need "air time" too ya' know? LOL Fun fact: My 14 year old son scarfed down the ENTIRE box of Peeps no less than 1 minute after this photo was taken.
After I was done, I decided to make a cute little tote bag using another of the die cuts offered on my "die cuts for sale" page HERE. These things are ridiculously easy to use! Decorate the bag if desired, assemble using only 3 INCHES of red line tape and stuff it with something fun! Here, I stuffed it with a Peeps chap stick and a cute little stuffed Peep.
OMGOSH that is SUPER cute!!!

ReplyDeleteYou are just soooo clever / artistic / creative! I just love your blog. Thank you for helping us to think about other ways of doing things.
ReplyDeleteI have also become a hoarder since I've started making cards!
Love your peeps packaging. It's so cute.
ReplyDeleteI found something you need. Google Mohop Sandals. A ribbon addict like yourself should have a pair. Check etsy if you like them. They have last year's style on etsy for significantly less than this year's styles on their website.
Love your peep ideas, your stamping is great. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to enter your work in my contest for FREE Stamps. Sherrill Graff istmpnv@aol.com
What awesome projects! Thanks for all the photos, Jody. What cute Michael's dollar spot stamps.
ReplyDeleteThis is just too cute for words!! I love the little peep doll :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a nifty project!
ReplyDeleteAs a fellow hoarder of all things Target, and thrower-away-of-nothing, I have to ask...did you use the big chick that the lip balm came on? I'm thinking you could use that as a card, or a stencil for a scrapbook page, ??!! So many things I never would have thought of until the lip balm came off.
I love your ideas!
Shut up! This is so cute! I was wishing I had that peeps stamp the other day! Great job!
ReplyDeleteYou are totally flippin' amazing! Sheesh! FABULOUS, Jody!!!!
