Boo to you!

Halloween is coming and I have started making some goodies! Have you heard of Boo Buckets? You fill a bucket (or whatever you want) with treats and leave it at the door of a friend or neighbor, who pays it forward by doing the same. MFT has a new digi kit that contains all the parts and pieces you need to get one started in your circle of friends or neighborhood. It is the Boo Crew digi kit and even includes an ADORABLE digi stamp. YES... digi stamp! :) I used to be anti-digi stamps, but honestly, aside from stamping an image in black ink VS printing it, the entire process is the same for card making or paper crafting! Especially with line images, which require coloring! :) The entire kit is only $5.95 (no shipping costs) and includes a LOT of content! Here is what you get:

  • Boo Crew digi stamp
  • Boo Crew Sentiments
  • Boo Bucket Notecards
  • Boo Bucket Tags
  • Boo Bucket Instruction sheet
  • Project Idea Sheet
OK, so here is how it works:

You can make a card with the fun image to write a special message to your pal(s):

I printed the image on Papertrey white card stock with my cheapo printer (I think I paid $40 or less for it) and then colored the image with Copic markers. It didn't bleed at all, and you can't tell that it was even printed on a computer (other than the fact that there is a clean, crisp impression LOL).

Now, you make a tag that says: I've Been BOOed. The tag should be included with the Boo Bucket and then the recipient can keep the tag and hang it by their door. If a boo bucket is going around the neighborhood, you would try to leave buckets where there was NOT a BOOed sign. Make sense? :)

You'll need a treat bucket (or bag... or basket...). I decorated a Stampendous clear paint can for this one.

You'll need to add a tag to the handle (or somewhere) with the cute poem included with the digi kit:

All that is left to do is print out the instruction sheet to include with the treat and leave it at the door of someone you want to BOO! :) I fill Boo Buckets with glow bracelets, candy, pencils, erasers and anything else I think the kids & family would enjoy. You can include as few or many treats as you would like and they can be ANY kind (home baked goods, ANYTHING).

Everything you need is included in the digi kit! I hope you'll give it a try and either continue or start a tradition with your family or friends.

If you have any questions, feel free to post a comment and ask! Just make sure to include your e-mail address so I can respond. :)

Happy treating!

If you try this out, I would LOVE to see your creation! Make sure to come back and link here so I can check it out! :)

Have a GREAT day!
