Hi there! I hope you had a happy weekend.
I was fortunate enough to receive a sweet gift from fellow MFT Design Team member, Inge Groot this past week. She sent me a gorgeous card along with a package of stamping goodies. I considered it a personal challenge to turn those supplies into a card and this is what I came up with. :)
I stamped the à la modes I Need Some Face Time on a large tag and colored her with Copic markers. I stitched up the sides and did some scoring/folding to make the tag fit better on the card. The sentiment was stamped on a tag and then adhered with a red line dimensional. I colored the black and white ribbon with a Copic marker and then tied it through the top of the tag.
I used a paper bag to create an earthy flower using the Pretty Posies Die-namics die. I used some corrugated card board to die-cut the Open Scallop Doily Die-namics die. I embellished the top of the card with die-cuts using the Simply Scallops Medium Die-namics die.
Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon for MFT's Wednesday Stamp Club.
Hi everyone! I've been doing some "just because" stamping in an effort to use some stamp sets that hasn't yet seen ink.
First, I used the new Pure Innocence stamp set, Pucker Up. Isn't she sweet?
She is colored with Copic markers. I used some Sakura Clear Glaze Pen on her barrette, lemonade pitcher, and glasses. I added 2 mm Swarovski crystals to her overall straps.
For this card I used the Triple Scoop Stamp Set, Clearly Sentimental about Friendship and the newly released Well Worn Greetings Die-namics die.
Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon! :)
HOW! I've been playing catch up trying to use some stamp sets I hadn't had time to stamp with yet, and I had this huge idea for Fred Bear Plays Indian. I had seen a cute scrap page with a tent that had rolled back sides, and I wanted to place Fred bear in a similar scenario. Unfortunately, I think then ended up looking more "tent" than teepee, but the general idea is there, so use your imagination, k? *wink*
Fred Bear is colored with Copic markers. I used a piece of crochet ribbon that was laying on my desk to add texture to Fred using colorless blender. I made the tent using 2 triangles. One was slit up the middle, and then one was split in half and layered over a kraft triangle base. I added some twine to the top to resemble teepee sticks (squint... LOL). I perched Fred on grass cut with my Fresh Cut Grass Die-namics die using brown felt.
Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon.
Hello all and thanks for stopping by today. I am checking in today with a card for Wednesday Stamp Club #21! I love this sketch with the overlapping circles!
I used Own Your Story (for the third week in a row LOL). I just can't get enough.
I used stamps from the set to decorate my focal panel.
I used the Open Zig Zag Border and some matching ribbon and twine (Pink Paislee) to jazz it up.
Here is the sketch for you. I hope you'll play along. :)

Hi everyone! Today I am blogging for a special reason (and person). Today is Barbara's birthday and we are banding together to make her day a special one! Barbara, you're one sweet woman, and I am happy to call you friend.
I made this card in honor of Barbara's birthday I made a shabby chic card using Just My Type Die-namics and stamp set.
It's time for you to hop along to the next well-wisher... Makiko Jones!
Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you very soon!
Hi all! I have a card for MFT Wednesday Stamp Club 20.
I used the Own Your Story stamp set and Four Point Frame Die-namics (which come together as a set). I'm loving the scrappy stamping. Patterned Paper + Embellishments + Pretty Stamps = FUN (and cute). The patterned paper is from Pink Paislee.
I used a big Prima flower. I had to remove the back layer because it was too big and was covering part of the stamped sentiment. The brad in the center is from The Girl's Paperie. I used some Swarovski crystals to accent the scallops from the Simply Scallops Medium Die-namics die-cut.
I stamped the sentiment on some patterned paper and accented it with a stamped and cut out image from the stamp set. I attached it with a tiny clip from Stampin' Up. I double-stitched the border of the rectangle and I love the way it looks.
Here is the sketch for you. I hope you'll play along. :)

Hi everyone and welcome to the MFT Who's that Girl VIP Hop & Shop! If you're just happening upon the hop, you'll want to start at the beginning at Kim's blog so you don't miss any of the designers' creations. :)
The two newest à la modes - I Need Some Face Time and I Treasure Your Friendship, and the newest VIP Collection featuring the new Enjoy the Ride Who's that Girl stamp set are available NOW in the MFT Boutique. (I'll wait patiently while you shop, just remember to come back) *wink*
My card tonight uses Who's that Girl - Enjoy the Ride stamp set, Enjoy the Ride Sentiments (the FREE set included with your VIP Collection - $9 value) and Simply Scallops Large Die-namics die, all of which are included in the VIP Collection.
She is colored with Copic markers. I drew in the grass with Prismacolor Pencils.
I used the new Simply Scallops Large Die-namics die to make the pretty scallop border. I love the large size and especially love the fact that it cuts out the entire shape, which is more convenient to me than a die that only cuts along the edge of paper. I added a Heidi Swapp Ghost Shape Flower at add a little pizzaz without having anything super overpowering on top of the image.
Here is a look at the new Simply Scallops Large Die-namics die included in the kit.
Here is a look at all the kit contents (remember this is a LIMITED quantity product, so shop early so you don't miss out):

See you in a couple hours for Wednesday Stamp Club. :)
Hi there and thanks for popping by today, mateys! (bad pun alert)
Today is day 2 of the à la modes Teasers AND release night (in 22 hours... set your alarm *wink*).
The stamp set being featured today is I Treasure Our Friendship, a new stamp set in the à la modes CLEAR stamp line. In the past, we've released our à la modes images in cling rubber, however, this month, we're releasing both of our à la modes in clear photopolymer, just like the rest of our stamps. This means that we can bring them to you a slightly lower price point than usual - $9.00 each! How fabulous is that?! Since our clear stamps are made in the USA, they are of the highest quality, so you'll have the same great image quality that you're accustomed to with any of our other clear stamps! Sweet deal right?
My card tonight features a very simple layout. I added lots of details to the treasure chest items and I didn't want it to be gawdy, so I had to draw the line somewhere...
She is colored with Copic markers. I added Liquid Pearls to the over-sized strand of pearls, clear Spica glitter pen to the coins, and glitter to the large diamond.
Here are some details about the release this Tuesday night:
- The MFT release is on May 17th at 10 PM EST.
- If you'd like to see all the teasers for today, please click on over to Kim's blog.
Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by tonight. I am super excited to show you the newest CLEAR (more on that in a minute) à la modes stamp set - I Need Some Face Time. Isn't she SWEET? She is holding a giant cell phone in the likeness of an iPhone. Soooooooo cute!
I have news about the à la modes line that I, personally, am SUPER excited about: In the past, we've released our à la modes images in cling rubber, however, this month, we're releasing both of our à la modes in clear photopolymer, just like the rest of our stamps. This means that we can bring them to you a slightly lower price point than usual - $9.00 each! How fabulous is that?! I used the super sweet, newish Rolled Daisy Die-namics die (which is out of stock at the moment - sorry) and layered over a Prima flower with a big ol' Maya Road crystal pin thingy in the cemter. I just cut off the sharp end of the pin and held everything together with a super sticky glue dot.
She is colored with Copic markers. I used a tiny 2 mm Swarovski crystal for her button on her shorts. She is wearing some "cork-bottomed" shoes that are oh so trendy this season. Just ask my girls who HAD to have some, and who have been banned from wearing them to school (by me) because they are MANY inches high... but when my girls feel fancy, I HAVE to say yes. (What can I say? I am a sucker. LOL)
I decided to anchor the image with the High Tea Doily Die-namics die cut with patterned vellum. Looooooove the look of that. So dainty and adorable.
Here is a look at the dies I used on my card:

Hi everyone! It's Wednesday Stamp Club #19 and I created a graduation card for the daughter of a friend of mine who is graduating from high school this year. (eeeek)
I used the Own Your Story stamp set (which I LOVE stamping with), Four Point Frame Die-namics (which comes with the Own Your Story stamp set), Fishtail Banner (LOVE it... so much so that I have FIVE of them - true story), and Typewriter Alphabet.
I used different elements from the Own Your Story stamp set to decorate my focal panel.
I used the Typerwriter Alphabet stamp set to stamp out the 2011 banner. I added eyelets to each banner and threaded them with green twine.
I'm in love with the new zipper trim by Maya Road. FUN!
Here is the sketch for you. I hope you'll play along. :)
