Some of you may not be familiar with the JiFFy girls, so let me fill you in. It's a "just for fun" challenge among a small group of friends. One member choose some patterned paper and sends it to all the members, while a second member chooses (and sends) a stamped image (or stamp set) WITHOUT conferring with the paper sender. The challenge is - make a card with both the stamped image and the provided patterned paper.
This month, the two went together like (pause while I think of something witty to compare it to) peanut butter and jelly, pancakes and syrup, macaroni and cheese... well, you get it right? They went together quite well, and I was
- Paper: Graphic 45 Bohemian Floral, Le Cirque Collection
- Stamp Set: Spiffy Scooters, Paper Smooches
I colored the scooter with Copic markers and used the polka-dotted paper to paper-piece the scooter "fenders" (or whatever they are called LOL). I added lots of fun details like: Sakura clear glaze pen on the lights, Spica glitter pen on the mirror and rims, and I used plenty of the accessory stamps to complete the scene.
I drew in a sidewalk with my Copic multiliner pen and drew some grass in the cracks to bring out the green in the patterned paper.
I added lots of dimension with some red line dimensionals.
Ready to see what the other JiFFy girls came up with using the same exact stamp set and patterned paper? Be sure to visit their blogs (and leave a comment while you're there... just because).
Have a great day and I'll see you soon! :)
I love these jiffy posts! What a wonderful selection and card!

ReplyDeleteJody, I've never heard of the jiffy girls, so thanks for the heads up -- and what a fun thing to do! I may suggest it to my monthly stamp group! I love your card, I'm surprised I like the yellow and grey combo, but I'm seeing it in lots of papers and I actually love it! (I think in a prior life I was actually allergic to yellow -- it scares me). Thanks for a not scary card!
