Watch the Leaves Turn

Hi all and thanks for stopping by!  I had plenty of stampy time this weekend, so I am happy I have some cards to share this week.  :)  Make sure to come back for some "make-up" cards for a couple Wednesday Stamp Club weeks that I missed (tsk tsk).

My card today was made for MFT Wednesday Stamp Club 95.  It included a large panel and I immediately thought of Inspired By the Front Porch - Fall for this sketch.

I started by stamping the image using brown ink on a piece of cream patterned paper from the Authentique Thankful Paper Bundle.  I sponged the edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink and stitched around the perimeter after layering it onto Hot Fudge Card Stock.

The Fall Leaves were cut from Orange Fizz and Kraft Card Stock.  I stamped the veins from Thankful Leaves in brown ink.  I sprayed the leaves with water, crumpled them, then let them dry.  Both leaves were sponged with Tea Dye Distress Ink.  Each leaf was then brushed with Tattered Angels Glam Glitter Paint in Hay Ride and dried with my heat tool.  I tied a piece of Hemp Cord to each stem and hot glued them to my focal panel.  I also brushed the Tangy Orange Card Stock with the paint to add some shimmer.

I finished off the inside with another sentiment included in the stamp set, more sponging, and another crumpled leaf.

Want to play along?  Here is this week's sketch.

Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog and the MFT forum on SCS (look for the most recent WSC thread).  You'll need to upload your card in the SCS gallery using the keyword shown on the sketch. You will have the chance to win up to $20 in MFT money. One winner is chosen at random each week!

Go get sketchy with MFT!
