It's Your Big Day

Hi and welcome to day 3 of MFT Teaser Time.  Today we are getting "sentimental" with Clearly Sentimental about Anniversaries and Big Greetings.

Here is my card using Big Greetings.

The circle was cut with Circle STAX Set 1 Die-namics and I edged it with half a bling circle from Michaels.  I also cut apart a flourish bling sticker and adhered it in a pattern on my card that worked with the sentiment and layout.

I used Whip Cream card stock for the sentiment (and card base) and Whip Cream ribbon.  The bow was tied with my Bow Easy.  The card looked a little plain when I was done, so I curled up the edges of the card stock a bit and it added *just* enough.

Here is a peek inside using another sentiment from the Big Greetings set.

You still have a couple days left to earn Big Greetings for free.  It will be available for purchase on April 3rd.  At that time, the Clearly Sentimental about Anniversaries will be the new Triple Scoop Stamp Set : FREE with orders over $60, but you MUST add it to your cart!  :)

Hi-YA!

Hi there!  It's time for MFT Teaser Time Day 2 and I am using a super cute new Fred Bear stamp set, Kung Fu Fred.  I LOVE the look on his face!  SO adorable.  Based on his form and skill, I awarded him a black belt and created this "masculine appropriate card".

I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils.  I'm going through a "phase".  :)

I tried to keep it simple and strayed away from using an embellishments, but snuck in one of the new Fishtail Flag STAX Die-namics on there.  I kept the palette very muted with shades of white, cream, brown, and black.  Very masculine.

I finished off the inside with a sentiment and another Fishtail Flag.

The image was cut out and layered with the new Circle STAX Sets 1 & 2.  I love the close layer you get by using both sets!  The BEST part?  Each set comes with TEN pieces!  That's a whopping 20 circle sizes to choose from!

Here is a better look at how closely they layer together.

I know I am going to get a LOT of use out of this die.  I LOVE Fishtail Flags!

Olive You

Hi all and thanks for stopping by today.  It's day 1 of MFT Teaser Time!  Brace yourself for 7 full days of teasers to get you primed and ready for the release on April 3.  There are so many cute things coming your way!

We are starting things off with the matriarch of MFT, Who's that Girl.  This month's set is Let's Grab Drinks

Is there a nurse in the room?  Someone needs to check my temperature!  I colored with Prismacolor pencils.  LOL  I feel so... retro.  LOL  I tried to get fancy and add some shading and color graduation, incorporating brown on the skin and grey on her dress to add to the deepness of the shading.  I was just winging it so who knows if it is "correct" or not.  The great thing about Prismacolor pencils is they are very forgiving.

I "salted" the rim of the glass with some pearlescent Stickles I had in my stash.  I wanted chunky, but not glittery, and didn't want to deal with anything loose that I would be wearing for the next 3 days.  You know it happens.  LOL

I stamped this cute sentiment on the Wine Glass Charm Die-namics from the new Let's Toast Die-namics and tied a sweet bow using Honeydew twine.

Good thing MFT has the Monarch style border in three sizes!  This one called for the Mini Monarch Border.  :)

Salted, on the rocks please.

I finished off the inside with matching papers and the XOXO stamp.

Sending BIG Hugs

Hi all and thanks for stopping by today.  I have a card for this week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club.  I went for quick and scrappy, using just a sentiment from the current Triple Scoop stamp set, Big Greetings.

I went with a more muted color combo, matted in Kraft, and stamped in green chalk ink.

The bow was created with a Bow Easy.

I added a couple rows of paper-piercing to add a little something without introducing additional embellishments or colors.

Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog and the MFT forum on SCS (look for the most recent WSC thread).  You'll need to upload your card in the SCS gallery using the keyword shown on the sketch. You will have the chance to win up to $20 in MFT money. One winner is chosen at random each week!

Go get sketchy with MFT!

Mad Scientist - MFT VIP

Hi all!  It's MFT VIP time and you can buy the Amazing & Magical VIP Collection right HERE.  It's only available in limited supply, so if you want it, grab it before it sells out.

This month's VIP collection is so super cute and contains 3 stamp sets and 2 Die-namics dies that will inspire you to make some cool concoctions in your craft room.

Here is what I cooked up in my craft "lab":

I couldn't resist the cute little Pure Innocence Scientist.  Isn't she adorable?  I think the Chevron Stripes are PERFECT for this little cutie. They look very "scientific".  LOL  I kept the focus on the cute image and Chevron Stripes Die-namics, which left little room for anything else.  So I went with it.  Science Labs are crisp, clean, and sterile, right?  Much like this card... LOL

I did something REALLY weird when I made this card... I used Prismacolor pencils.  LOL  I wanted a softer look and colored pencils are just what the doctor scientist ordered.

I've this pack of 4 test tubes with cork stoppers for years.  I bought them in Target dollar spot and they contained gel pens, which I gave to my daughters.  I created this box from scratch using the diameter of the test tubes, a ruler, paper, and pencil.  I felt so... scientific.  LOL

This super cute sentiment comes in the FREE mini sentiment set in the VIP collection.   ADORABLE.  I stamped it on the Mini Bracket Tab.

It always feels kinda wrong for me to chop apart these cute little PIs, but in this case, I HAD to.  :)  I wanted to jazz up the test tube holder box!  She is colored with Prismacolor pencils also.  I used the Chevron Stripes to create a fun background on the front of the box as well.

I decorated the tops of the test tubes also.

Here is a peek at how I created the Chevron Stripes Background.

1.) Cut a ton of Chevron Stripes.  Let me fill you in on a fun tip - If you keep your Chevron Stripes connected, when you die-cut them, you will get a third Chevron in the center of the 2 die-cuts.  You'll save a little bit of time cutting.  Score.  I cut a piece of paper wider than I needed it, but exactly as tall as I wanted it.

Add some adhesive to the stripes themselves OR a strip down each side (which you can cut off later).

Lay out your Chevron Stripes as you wish.  Remember, you can use the background card stock as an additional stripe color.

Here it is all laid out and ready to trim.

This is the finished background piece, which I also machine stitched.

Ready to shop?

Here is a look at everything you'll get in your VIP Collection:

It's time to head over to the MFT Blog for the New Product Tour, where you'll find samples from the entire MFT Design Team using the Amazing & Magical VIP Collection contents!
