lemon drop friend

Hi all and thanks for stopping by today. I did some "just for fun" stamping and made a card for this week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club. I love starting with a sketch. I look at the sketch, choose the stamps based on the available space, and get to work! This week's sketch has a few horizontal elements and a small "focal image" area, so I knew *just* what to grab!

I went straight to Fall Foliage, which I have a major crush on.  It's so pretty and SO easy to use.  I also happen to be in love with Lemon Drop and Kraft right now, so I went with what I love and came up with this bright card with a bit of rustic flair.

The background piece of card stock was stamped with Western Backgrounds using Versamark ink. The leaf was stamped with Lemon Drop and mounted on a Pierced Circle and flag from Layered Treat Tag.  The sentiment was stamped with Kraft ink and came from Fall Foliage.

I created a patterned strip with Textile Backgrounds.  Under that, I used Peek-a-Boo Dots and tucked a piece of Lemon Drop Card Stock underneath.

Be sure to head over to the MFT Blog for the sketch, the details, and to link up the card directly from your blog! Come share with us!  :)
