Smooth Sailing

Hello all and thank you for stopping by today. I hope you are enjoying your Labor Day Weekend! We're taking a trip to the beach tomorrow, so I thought this watercolored sailboat card would be quite fitting for today. :)

I started with a piece of watercolor paper and hand drew a backdrop using Sno Cone Premium Dye Ink Refill mixed with water. The sentiment, from Go Overboard, was stamped in Versamark and embossed in white. The sailboat was assembled using different colors of card stock. The sails were created by cutting from Smooth White, painting Orange Fizz Premium Dye Ink Refill mixed with water, and dropping flake kosher salt on top. It created the fun texture on the sails.

I added a couple clouds from the Cloud Cover-Up to finish off the scene.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful rest of the weekend and I'll see you soon!

Jody

  1. Just when I think I've seen it all y'all still manage to amaze me. I am absolutely loving that sail boat! Such a cool technique I really must try.
    God's blessings on your day,
    Sarah :)
