Basket Full of Fun!

The other day, I was browsing the SCS gallery and saw the CUTEST basket. It looked so realistic and CUTE! I followed the link to Laura Canale's blog and found her tutorial.

This is the basket I made using her tutorial. I used Stampin' Up textured card stock in close to cocoa for the basket portion and polished it off with some twill and brads.

While my friends were here last weekend, I decided I would teach them how to make the basket. Let's just say they were NOT pleased. One of my funny friends walked away. She said, "you finish it". LOL The basket can be a little frustrating if your measurements are off, OR you don't weave tightly enough, OR of you weave too tightly. LOL BUT, I still think it's adorable so if you are feeling brave follow the link above to the tutorial and give it a shot. :)

  2. WOW, you did a phenomenal job on this!!! I know what you mean about frustrating. This is probably the most common for this, but I didn't want to discourage anyone who really wanted to try. I hope you think it was worth it because your basket is soooo adorable, I love it in brown. Thank you so much for sharing with me! Have a fantastic weekend.

  6. WOW. That is amazing. It looks like a real basket. How long did it take to make? I love how it came out but I would have walked away too! Just one mistake and that would have been a pile of scrap paper instead of a basket. Thanks for sharing.
