Ric Rac Salad

A friend asked if I knew where to get green and purple ric rac. *SPEW* Ummmmm, yes let me check my own personal stash! LOL I was able to find about a dozen different rics racs in the 2 colors. YAY! I decided against sending them in a big ol' heap and came up with this idea. :) When I saw them all together it reminded me of lettuce and cabbage thus the title: "Ric Rac Salad". Corny huh? LOL

I used this awesome background stamp from CHF called LINED PAPER. I LOOOOOVE this stamp. I have been using quite a bit lately! :) I loosely bundled all the ric rac and tossed it in this clear card box. I added a band of ribbon and a quick sign to label it. I finished it off with a Prima flower.

The person who this is going to will probably see this before you get your giftie, but you can still ACT surprised ok? :) Plus you can look forward to the other couple things that will be in the bow. *wink*

Stamps: CHF Lined Paper, SU alphabet, SU set

Paper: eggplant, white

Accessories: clear card box, janome sewing machine, ribbon, Prima, BG button

  1. What a great idea, it makes a great presentation. It is much nicer then just putting it in baggie. You really show the colors this way. And whoever gets it will feel really special that you took the extra time.

  4. I adore your Ric Rac Salad :) What a wonderful way to present this gift ~ just displays even more, how much you care about this person :) And of course, I have to tell you, the colours of this Ric Rac ~~!!ROCKS!!~~ -{smile}-

OK Jody, now for my **Skill Testing Question** ! haaa Since you are the ~**RIBBON QUEEN**~, ((bowing to the Queen)) perhaps you could enlighten me as to why they call this ribbon, "Ric Rac"? Now stop your laughing and snickering, (LOL) but I'm always curious about stuff like this, especially if there is a history behind it. And since I too, L*O*V*E ribbon, I'm curious if you know the background of this "Ric Rac" product?
And if for some WACKO-Weird reason you don't, then please do not waste a second thinking about it. :) Afterall, you'll soon be buried in Primas, and will need more hours then are in a day to count, pack and ship those babies!!! You are one crazy chic Miss Jody, but as I've said before, one with a huge, kind and generous heart :D
