HOW TO: mini flower pot

I wanted to share the process for creating the cover of the mini flower pot in the set shown HERE.

Here are the materials that inspired the set:



I removed the cover from the flower pot and traced the outside of the cover as well as the two inner areas that were open. Then, I cut it out. I used a craft knife to cut out the inner areas. I used a new craft knife by Fiskars that makes it so much easier to do (Michaels, $5.99). See the picture after this one for a shot of it. It is the orange handled tool. You can see my score measurements below. Yes, I have written 5 7/8 minus one line. LOL It is an exact science ya know? LOL


Here is the piece cut out along with the Fiskars craft knife that makes cutting much easier.
