Monkey-less Sock Monkey Project

I am taking orders until Monday morning for the July Sticky Sale HERE! :)

OK, I am trying to avoid using the sock monkey set again. You know... overkill, BUT while planning a project for a class I had at my house this past weekend I couldn't help but grab the set again! This time, the monkey stayed in the case and I opted for just the cupcake and sentiment.

This is a "nugget tin" with a belly band around it. On the belly band I adhered one of those awesome Nestabilities "blooms" that Lauren Meader has me hooked on. They are so easy to make and have a real WOW factor if you ask me. :) (not that you're asking but... LOL) The bloom was given dimension using the large black dimensional boosters. The cupcake is stamped in black Memento ink (LOVIN it for Copics) and colored with Copic markers. I used stickles on the cupcake frosting. Holes were pierced using my circle plastic canvas template and a simple brad finished it off.

The ladies that came to the class really loved this project. It is perfect for a birthday gift to use for cash or a gift card.

I will be sharing more projects we made at the class this week. :)

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are having a GREAT weekend! :)

HUGS!
