Books Fall Open...

Hi all!  I have been back from CHA for less than 1 week and I STILL feel exhausted!  If you were there, you likely saw me at the MFT booth, where I was hard at work!  :)  I met SO many amazing people and saw many others that I have been fortunate to meet before.  I took a camera... I took extra batteries... and I didn't take one picture!  Nope... NOT ONE!  *rolls eyes at self*  All I have are the awesome memories and swollen feet to prove I was there.  LOL  I'll tell you more about all the people I saw and met in later blog posts... and NOT post pictures... since I am dork and didn't take any!  *heehee*

After resting/sleeping/cleaning/being a zombie for almost a week, I FINALLY felt like stamping last night. :)  Here is one of the cards that I made:

Can I just say... I HEART, I {Heart} Books!  OMG this is one of the cutest stamp sets EVER!  This little book worm girlie reminds me of my studious Madeline, who often has her nose buried in a book.  :)  I had purchased these library cards some time ago at an LSS somewhere (no clue where).  I was excited to finally have a use for them!  :)  I love it when I buy something and tuck it away only to have the PERFECT use for it later on!  Hoarders UNITE!
I added some sparkle to her shoes, jeans and headband with a Spica clear glitter pen.  I went over her glasses with a Sakura clear glaze pen.
My button treatment reminds me of Susan or Joanne.  I channeled them when I pulled out the button.  They both do amazing things with buttons (even IF Susan leaves them naked sometimes)!
Ink: Memento black, Memento Brown
Paper: white, brown , K & Co patterned paper pad
Accessories: linen thread, button, crocheted ribbon, Janome sew mini, Copic markers, Spica glitter pen, Sakura clear glaze pen, SU brads, red line dimensionals
P.S.: I have heard from several of you about my Feedblitz newsletter.  Apparently, the Feedblitz newsletter has been looking a little jumbled with pictures and text running over eachother.  I have a newish computer and also am using a different operating system now.  I am thinking it is a problem with Feedblitz and hopefully it will catch up with the new programs that are out.  In the meantime, please click on the heading of the Feedblitz newsletter and you will be directed to the post you are trying to read.  Sorry for any inconvenience.

  1. I LOVE all of your cards!

  2. Hahaha! Susan and her nekkid buttons. :)

    Love this card, totally darling.

  3. Welcome Home Jody!!!! I hoard and then cant find where I 'stashed' them.... I am SHOCKED (LOL) when I see naked buttons since reading they were a NO NO!!!! :)

  4. This is gorgeous Jody! An adorable set!!

  5. Great card Jody! I didn't have to wait on you to enable me on this one! It has already shipped out to me along with the teacher's blackboard that you DID enable me into! I know, Rebekah makes fun of me when she sees a card with no thread in the buttons. "Momma, they have "NAKED BUTTONS"! Quick call the button police!" Where DOES she get her sense of humor? :)

  6. I adore this! Love the library card and the big ole button! Think I am going to go fall into my book right now - it's been *one* of those days.

  7. So cute, Jody! That image and sentiment would be perfect for my daughter!

  8. Oh my gosh, Jody, you sound JUST LIKE me!! I do that all the time. I really mean to take pictures, but somehow... D'oh. Well at least you have some wonderful memories.

LOVE LOVE LOVE that darling little bookworm image. What a sweet card.

  9. Cute, well done of course.
    The image is adorable!

  10. This is so CUTE...I love this set too!!

  11. ALL your cards using this set are so awesome Jodi and know for a fact I will be buying it soon! I love the little details like the crystal effects on her glasses and the library card is the BOMB!

  12. You totally rock this set! That library card is awesome! (Do you have every craft thing known to man? lol.)
