Magical Day

This is one of my most FAVORITE images from the past MFT release, Fairy Girl.  She is SO sweet and SO fun to color!

Stamps: Fairy Girl Pure Innocence MFT
Ink: Memento Black
Paper: aqua mist, smoky black, white, purple (lavender lace I think), PTI aqua patterned paper
Accessories: Su ribbon, silver brads, Copic markers, Quickie glue pen, clear glitter, red line dimensionals, Cuttlebug folder, Nestabilities, Sparkly Fluff

................................................................................................

Question of the day: Glitter... is it used in your stamp room?  Are you brave enough to have it flying all over your entire work space, transferring to your hands, face and clothing... only to be transferred yet again to other members of your family... never to be fully removed after merely opening the lid of the jar?  If you don't use glitter, what alternative do you prefer?  Lets hear from all the sparkly (AND non-sparkly) sisters. :)

  1. I wear my glitter proudly as does my husband, 2 boys and daughter! When I made my Christmas cards I had glitter everywhere!! Usually I can confine it to my craft room but not this time. For about a week we all had some glitter on us every day! I even brought it to work with me. I LOVE IT!! :)

  3. Super cute, Jody! I am lovin' the colours you used! That aqua with lavender lace is so pretty!
I love glitter too and am thankful my husband bought me some of that glitter cloth last year for my Xmas stocking...hehe! It picks every little bit up so nicely!

  4. oh what a sweetie!!! love the combo with her, today! As for the glitter, well, I LOVE the look of it, but I confess I take the easy way out-I prefer stickles. No fuss, no mess. Now I have gotten brave this season and am loving the MS tinsel glitter. I use it with crystal effects and feel I can keep it under control.

  6. Like another person who commented, I adore the look of glitter but I use stickles! Only stickles! Mostly I use the crystal, sometimes the diamond, and very infrequently the colors. I have sparkles on almost every card and I can't live without the stickles! I also adore all your cards ... your use of color, ribbons, buttons, and STITCHING! is wonderful!

I'm not a glitter girl. I have a lot of it, but reach for flocking instead!

  11. Ooooh! She's adorable in purple!!!
I give a big ole' YES to glitter...any kind of glitter too! Flying glitter doesn't scare me (or hubby...he once came home with a little glitter on his cheek after being at work ALL day!). LOL!!

  13. Love your card! So sweet!!
I use glitter and just about everything else that sparkles. Probably grab stickles or copic spicas most often though.

  14. I don't mind sporting glitter! It makes for interesting conversations and opportunities to plug my business teaching and making cards. Hubby doesn't get close enough to wear it and my kids don't care (9 and 2.5 y.o.). I also use stickles and glittered paper but not bc they are less messy. Just like adhesives, different ones suit different occassions!!

  15. I just love all the cards that you stamp! You are very creative. Glitter is fun to use, it makes the cards pop. My friends at work could always tell when I have been playing with glitter since it will be all over me. That's okay. Minor hazards for creative minds at work.

  16. I love this card and the curved sentiment and...

WHY WOULD YOU NOT USE GLITTER???? Sheesh.... only REAL men wear glitter to the job site! LOL

I dont think a card is complete without a BIT of blingage SOMEWHERE.... ;)

  17. Love this image...I have others, but not this, it's on my wishlist now!LOL Glitter? Yes, I love a little bling on all my projects! Funny story, we were in church the other night and I looked over at my hubby and right on the corner of his cheek was a tad of glitter, I just smiled! Like I said, I love a little bling on all my things!!! ;)

  19. Simply precious! I love your colouring style. Looks like professional watercolour! Answer to the Q of the day... Oh yes, glitter glitter everywhere, but when you need tidy, a Sakura stardust pen which packs a lot of bling. ;o)

  20. My craft room is my kitchen, glitter is a wonderful thing! It even looks good on the cats when they come up on the table to visit me. I love your card today, she's adorable, the colors are great together and I'd like to C.A.S.E. your sketch!
