Pure Innocence Teaser Time!

Today is day 3 of MFTeaser Time and today we are featuring the Pure Innocence line!  Oh, how I LOVE these little girls!  There will be FOUR new Pure Innocence sets released on December 2nd at 10 PM EST HERE in the MFT store!  Want to see ALL the teasers using these adorable sets?  Click on over to Kim's blog at 11 AM EST (November 30th) to see the entire list of participants.

This card uses Presents for You.  She is stamped in black Memento ink and colored with Copic markers.  I used some colorless blending solution and a piece of grosgrain to give her jacket the corduroy look.  I went for a very muted color scheme.

The bow was of course inspired by Joanne Basile.  She calls it the buttony bow, although I have affectionately re-named it the Jo Bow.  ;)

I added a touch of sparkle to her hat "pom pom" and her leggings.

I also added a quick finishing element to the inside of the card.

Stamps: Presents for You
Ink: black memento
Paper: white, kraft, SU patterned paper
Accessories: copper brads, wood button, twine, SU ribbon, glitter, quickie glue pen, red line dimensionals, copic markers, Janome sew mini

**************************************************
This next card uses another of the new sets, Fairy Girl.  She just SCREAMS for glittered wings, don't you think?  :)  Of course, I was happy to comply and added some to her wings, wand and even the poms on her shoes.  She is stamped in Memento black and colored with Copic markers.  I added a little MFT bling for fun.

Stamps: Fairy Girl
Paper: kraft, black, white
Accessories: white ribbon, Swarovski crystals, glitter, quickie glue pen, Copic markers

***********************************************

Here is one last card made with the new set, Merry KISSmas!

Stamps: Merry KISSmas
Paper: brown, white, SU patterned paper
Accessories: Copic markers, glitter, quickie glue pen, Janome sew mini, copper brads, heidi swapp snowflakes, ruffled ribbon, ric rac ribbon, red line dimensionals, red line tape

Robots MFTeaser Time!

There is something about robots that I find completely adorable.  It's the one "non-girly" type of thing that I love making.  I guess it's a stretch to call these masculine, but I am going to do it anyway.  Either one of these are a card I would give my son... and not many of my cards fit that bill!  LOL

The inside of this card reads: My Network Crashes.

This is a DIGI stamp that will be released by MFT on December 2nd at 10:00 PM EST.  This is one of 4 robots being released and they are all adorable.  The image was colored with Copic markers.

Want to see more creations using the robot digi stamps, Love Machine or Truffle Flopsey?  Head on over to Kim's blog at 11:00 AM EST today (November 29th) and she will have a complete list of participants that you can visit!  :)  You'll want to see all the cute creations!  :)

Remember, these images and a total of NINE stamp sets are being released on December 2nd at 10 PM EST.  :)

Here is another card I made using another one of the new robot digi stamps:

The image was colored with Copic markers.  I added the sentiment directly to the patterned paper and then embossed in clear to make the sentiment pop.  I kept it simple and "boyish".  I need to have cards on hand that my son is not embarrassed to give to friends on their birthdays.  LOL

Sweet Pea!

I made this card with my new Lulu stamp from Stamping Bella. She is stamped in Memento black and colored with Copic markers. I added a dot of glue on each little dot on her dress and then dusted it with glitter. I think this layout is an older SFYTT from Jen.

OK, so my hubby stories have been plentiful lately... he has been providing me with a lot of "material". LOL Tonight, homework time with the kids was turned in to some funny banter about Copic markers. Our 9 year old, Madeline, does not have to take spelling tests in school this year, but her teacher allows them to bring home the "would have been test words" and take the tests at home and then she earns "raffle tickets" that they get and then are entered in a drawing for prizes. Tonight, she had FIVE lists containing 25 words each and Daddy was reading the words off to her. I was sitting next to him and occasionally had to remind him to make sure she had sentences to go with the words because some of them were words that sounded like another word, which was spelled differently... this is what happened next:

Hubby: Thrifty. Mommy likes to think she is thrifty, but she buy markers that cost $100.
Me: $100? My Copics are worth a lot more than that! LOL
Hubby: Street. If Mommy keeps buying Copic markers, we are going to live on the street.
Hubby: Stung. When Mommy told me she bought more markers, it stung.
Hubby: Sparkle
Me: When Mommy gets new markers, her eyes sparkle.
Hubby: Stress. When Mommy buys more markers, it causes me stress.
Hubby: Special.
Me: Daddy doesn't care how many markers Mommy buys, because she is special.
Hubby: Steak. Daddy wants a steak, but Mommy just bought more markers.
Hubby: Clustered.
Me: Mommy only buys more markers because they look better clustered.

All the while, our daughter was giggling away! LOL She is all for Copic markers, because she gets to use them too. :) Oh, and just so you all know... HE is spoiled too. LOL He has plenty of "man toys", but likes to tease me about my Copic markers. It was all in jest and was very entertaining for all. :)

Question of the day: What stamp/scrapbook supply does YOUR hubby tease you about the most? Leave your response in the comments section below. :)

Have a great day!

Who's That Girl? Hop

Hi all and welcome to the Who's That Girl Hop! If you just happened upon the hop, please go back and start at the beginning HERE so you don't miss anything.

We are featuring the new stamp set, Maid for Who's That Girl, which is part of the MFT VIP collection available NOW, right HERE! It is a collection of products that will not be released for another two weeks, but you can get yours NOW. Hurry... there are only 45 collections available!

Now, you know sometimes I share my hubby's comments with you... today I have a "special one"! Here is what hubby said about this card:

Me: Look honey at this card I made for the blog hop!
Hubby: Lame! (smiling)
Me: Whatever!

LOL It was short and NOT so sweet. I guess he isn't interested in vacuuming under my feet with a pink vacuum as I sit on a cute chair on a laptop blogging. Who knew? *wink*

I stamped the image with black memento ink and colored it with Copic markers. I paper pieced the chair with some patterned paper from SU. I went over the "carpet" with my colorless blender so that it would become kinda splotchy and give it more a textured feel. It is carpet after all... :) The sentiment was stamped and quickly embossed with clear embossing powder to make it pop off the patterned paper better. I added Sakura clear glaze pen over the head of the vacuum and her glass of wine to give it a more realistic feel.

Ready to hop on? There are several more stops full of beautiful creations and I don't want to keep you from them. :)

Your next stop is the super sweet and talented, Carole Burrage. Hop on over there and tell her she rocks (and that we miss her). :)

See you soon!

Stamps: Maid for Who's That Girl?
Ink: Memento black
Paper: white, black, pink pirouette, raspberry fizz, SU raspberry tart (I think)
Accessories: silver brads, Janome sew mini, Copic markers, May Arts sheer polka dot ribbon, red line dimensionals, Sakura galze pen.clear embossing powder

Green & Yellow Cards

The two cards I am posting today have a common theme.  They both use a green and yellow color combo.  I am not sure what got into me, because these are probably the last 2 colors I would expect myself to use together, but it works with the new Nook and Pantry paper from Basic Grey, so why fight it?  LOL

This first card uses a cute little dragonfly boy from Stamping Bella.  Isn't he adorable?  I colored him with Copic markers and drew in the grass with Prismacolor Pencils.  I was daring and went with some sparkly green glitter for the wings.  It IS a boy card, but I decided it could have glitter anyway.  Boys like glitter, right?  LOL

**************************************************

My next card uses a Stella image from Stamping Bella.  This line of images took some time to grow on me, but I finally decided to take the plunge and get one.  They are super fun to stamp with.  :)  I chose this one because I have a friend who uses the phrase, "suck it up", a LOT and I thought it would make a fun card for her.  :)

Stella was stamped in Memento black and colored with Copic markers.  I added some glitter to her wand and crown.  The metallic portions of the vacuum are colored with a silver Spica glitter pen.

Sassy Lillith

When I saw this sentiment from River City Rubberworks, I HAD to have it. It's been in my stash for well over a year and I have never used it, but when I saw this cute stamp from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, I got the "bite me" vibe... don't you? Arms crossed... scowl... "Bite me!". LOL

After I make a card, I usually go show it to my hubby. He has become quite the expert papercrafter over the past 6 years and I enjoy getting his feedback. Sometimes he makes comments that are worth mentioning and this was one of those days!

Me: Look honey, isn't this girl SO cute? (squealing)
Hubby: Yep, cute.
Me: Thanks (as I run back to the stamp room for more stamping fun)

1 hour later

Me: Isn't that card funny? Do you think people will be offended that I used the "Bite me" sentiment?
Hubby: No, but I don't get it.
Me: What do you mean?
Hubby: Well, she isn't biting anything...
Me: I know, but she looks grumpy and she is telling someone to bite her. (giggling)
Hubby: Yes, but I think you should have used a scalloped punch in the corner of the card to make it look like a bite mark.
Me: Oooooooooo honey (high pitched cooing voice comes out), you said scalloped... you know what scalloped is. That is SO cute. :)

Now, do I think that was a good idea for my card? No... but isn't it SO adorable that he knows what scalloped is? LOL I was just SO tickled about that.

Okay, back to the card! I stamped Lillith in Memento black and colored her with Copic markers. I made the frog speckled by dotted him with a brown fine-tip marker.

OH... one more thing to mention about my card! See that new watermark I added to my photos? I got it HERE from Karen Giron for only $2! You know what's even BETTER? She made it into a brush so that I could use it easily with my Photoshop Elements 7 editing software! She is SO sweet and helpful! I just wanted to pass it on to you in case YOU would like one for your photos. :)

Stamps: Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Lillith, River City Rubberworks Bite Me sentiment
Ink: Memento black
Paper: black, white, BG Nook & Pantry
Accessories: white brads, Janome sew mini, Copic markers, SU marker, red line dimensionals, Nestabilities, Martha Stewart edge punch

Have a wonderful day and be HAPPY... not like sassy Lillith. *wink*

Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders

Check out the newest member of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders!  :)  Isn't she a cutie?  LOL

I recently got this Turtle Tot image from Stamping Bella.  I knew as soon as I saw her that I wanted to make her into a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. :)  Do you think she'll make the squad?  heehee

I stamped her in Memento black and colored her with Copic markers.  I drew in some grass and added blue glitter to her pom poms.  The blue stars along the bottom of the card are sticky stars found HERE that were adhered and then coated with glitter.  I kept the card pretty simple and just added some stitching and brads to jazz it up a bit.  Maybe I shall send this card to a fellow Cowboys fan!  ;)

Now, I am off to get ready to watch The Cowboys game on the big screen with my hubby.  If you hear someone screaming LOUDLY... that's me.  LOL

Hope you have a great Sunday!

Jody

Ink: Memento black
Paper: green, black, white
Accessories: blue glitter, Copic markers, Janome sew mini, Quickie Glue Pen, Prismacolor Pencils, sticky stars, red line dimensionals

Posy

Hi everyone!  I am back with another Moonlight Whispers girl, Posy.  Isn't she SO cute?  I love her little wink.  It reminds me of my youngest daughter, who has the hardest time winking without contorting her face in all sorts of crazy ways.  LOL

Posy was stamped in Memento black and colored with Copic markers.  I added Stickles on her buttons, barrettes and the cherries on her pockets.

I finished off the inside with a PTI sentiment and the rose stamp, that comes with the Posy stamp.

Stamps: Moonlight Whispers, PTI sentiment
Ink: Memento black
Paper: White, smokey black, red, October Afternoon Report Card and Farm Fresh 8 X 8 pads (LOVE those)
Accessories: SU jumbo white brads, Nestabilities, Stickles, Copic markers, ruffled May Arts ribbon, SU border punch, red line dimensionals and dots

Twisty Girls

My friend, Michele, recently got me hooked on these stamps, which she refers to as "twisty girls". They are actually called Moonlight Whispers and are sold by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. You can check out the entire line HERE, but be warned... they are REALLY cute. :)

Francesca was stamped in Memento black and colored with Copic markers. I added some sparkle with my clear Spica glitter pen on her barrettes and button on her hat. I added tiny dots of Stickles over the confetti on her cupcakes. The patterned paper is October Afternoon Report Card and Farm Fresh (8 X 8 pads) which I got HERE, at Starlitstudios! She has REALLY fast shipping!

She has cute little Strawberries on the pockets of her dress, which I coated with Sakura clear glaze pen.

I finished off the inside as well. I added a sentiment from Stamping Bella.

Stamps: Francesca Moonlight Whispers, Stamping Bella sentiment
Ink: Memento black
Paper: white, smokey black, October Afternoon Farm Fresh and Report Card

MFT November Release Blog Hop: Polar Love

Hi all and welcome to the MFT November Release Blog Hop! I hope you have enjoyed the past 5 days of MFTeasers... and now... it's RELEASE TIME! All ten new stamp sets, the MFT Kit PLUS some new "Baby Braddies" are available in the store NOW right HERE!

You should have come to me from Kim's blog, who is the starting hopper. Make sure to hop through all the designers blogs, leaving comments as you go. ONE of the designers will have a special PRIZE for one commenter... one of the BRAND NEW Pure Innocence stamps that will be released in December! PLUS, the winner will get it early (when the design team does), so it's definitely worth it!

The set I am highlighting today is Polar Love. This set was part of a special promotion last month, but is now available for sale! YAY! This cute little Polar couple is sure to warm your heart and the set is only $9! Find it HERE, along with all the other new sets and products. Speaking of heart, do you see how my heart looks like cordurouy? To achieve that, use any piece of grosgrain or textured material, squirt some Copic colorless blender on it, and blot over an image that you have already colored using Copic markers. The pattern will now be on the image. It's a neat effect and is SUPER easy to do.

The image was stamped in Memento black and colored with Copic markers. The scarves were paper pieced on. I added some Diamond Glaze to their noses to make them shiny. I stamped the sentiment directly on the patterned paper and then quickly embossed using clear embossing powder. Doing this helps the sentiment to show up more clearly.

The embellishment in the corner is a Heidi Swapp ghost shape snowflake and a snowflake "ribbon brad" that are stacked together. The ribbon brad has 2 large slots in it to thread the ribbon through and tie. I buy them at Hobby Lobby under the Paper Studio brand name. :) The lace trim is also from Hobby Lobby under the Paper Studio brand name.

Stamps: Polar Love
Ink: Memento Black
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Snow Cone, White, Eskimo Kisses
Accessories: silver brads, clear EP, red line dimensionals, Diamond Glaze, Hobby Lobby trim, Copic markers, Janome sew mini, Heidi Swapp ghost shape snowflake, snowflake brad, white twill

Here is one more card with more of a vintage feel.

Stamps: Polar Love
Ink: Memento black
Paper: vanilla, sage, Cosmo Cricket patterned paper
Accessories: vanilla brads, Janome sew mini, SU punch, glitter, Copic markers, Lace trim (Paper Studio), red line dimensionals, Diamond glaze

Thanks for visiting! :) Time to go shopping HERE!

Presents are the BEST

Hi everyone! Today is day 5 of MFTeaser Time and RELEASE DAY! Tonight, at 10:00 PM EST all TEN stamp sets, the MFT Kit, AND new products will be unveiled in the store! Today, we are previewing the Who's That Girl? set of the month, Wrapped in Love, and here is my creation:

I was inspired by my daughters when making this book/album. As we ALL know, Christmas is right around the corner and my girls have already started dreaming of all the things they want. Since I am not a fan of shopping for them at the last minute, I had them jot down some ideas about a week ago. They put them on the fridge where all important things go! :) (my son's list is missing, which means he doesn't have a clue what to ask for... LOL)

I started thinking about their Christmas lists and came up with this album that I can use to store their Christmas lists, receipts, notes pertaining to gifts and maybe some of my thoughts about their Christmas lists. I think it would be REALLY fun to jot down their reactions and maybe even add some pictures of the girls with their gifts. :)

I added three, pocket pages, as well as three different sections of card stock pages that I can customize and add to, this Christmas and beyond. The covers were cut from heavy weight chipboard and the entire book was bound with my Bind-it-all machine. The covers are 8 3/4" X 5 3/4". The inner pages are 8 1/2 X 5 1/2.

Who's That Girl was stamped in Memento black and colored with Copic markers. Each gift and bow was stamped separately, colored and then cut out. A Baby Braddie was placed with each bow and the top gift was popped up with red line dimensionals. I drew in the ground with a fine-tipped marker and stitched the panel with my Janome sew mini. The bracket piece under the focal image is a die cut that came in the patterned paper pack by My Mind's Eye. I was inspired to stack the gifts by fellow design team member, Christina Fischer.

The sentiment was stamped on a die cut from the paper pack and I added a paper flower made using my Nestabilities flower dies.

I can't wait to fill these pages with the cute Christmas memories that come with their Christmas lists. Some things they ask for are just... plain weird! LOL For instance, Bailey wants a REAL cash register that spits out receipts and everything. The girls constantly turn their room into a store, where they sell anything from pets (stuffed animals) to medical services (including check ups and illnesses) to a beauty parlor (where they do nails and hair) to a carnival complete with games and prizes. LOL It is REALLY cute. I am going to do my best to find her one. Madeline (9) doesn't have anything strange on her list this year. I am happy to report that this is the FIRST year in about 4 years that she does not have "mini fridge" on her list. LOL Really... mini fridge? I don't even allow them to eat or drink in their room!

Hi all!  I'm back with another day of MFTeasers!  This is DAY 4!  Only one more day before release time!  Be sure to come check out all the new release sets on November 4th at 10:00 PM EST HERE on the MFT site!

This card uses the set, Cool Yule.  I used all 3 "chilly" animals that come in the set and created a Polar Totem Pole!  :)  I stamped the "ice pond", polar, penguin and bird all separately and then colored them and cut them out.  I added paper piecing to the polar bear, and flock to the penguin and bird.  My favorite part of this card is the iced-over pond.  I used some new clear tinsel glitter I found at Michael's adhered with a thin layer of Diamond Glaze.

Be sure to check out Kim's blog HERE for a complete list of design team members with an MFTeaser for today!  You'll want to check out their creations using this set!
