Clearly Sentimental about You

Welcome to day 5 of MFTeasers.  The release party is TONIGHT (February 3rd) from 8-10 PM EST in the MFT forum on SCS.  The sets will all go live at 10 PM EST in the MFT Store in the Brand Spankin' New category.

Today, we are featuring 3 different sets:
  • Clearly Sentimental about You (this month's Triple Scoop set)
  • Clearly Sentimental about Food
  • Lovin' from the Oven
If you'd like to see all the designer's paper creations for today, be sure to click on over to Kim's blog for the complete list of participants.

My card uses Clearly Sentimental about you and a previously released Pure Innocence stamp set.  Anyone who knows me, knows I am super sappy and sentimental and the sentiments in the Clearly Sentimental about You set are SO sappy!  RIGHT up my alley!  :)  The sentiment: Every day you make me proud is included in the new set.

The Pure Innocence image was stamped in black on SU watercolor paper and embossed with clear embossing powder.  Joanne inspired me to put away my Copics for this card watercolor.  It was fun.  It's been a while.  Maybe I'll do it again soonish.  LOL

I used another of those fabulous burlap flowers by Prima.  SO gorgeous!  I added a piece of black twine through a button to jazz it up a bit more.

I also finished off the inside with another of the sentiments that comes in the set.

Stamps: Clearly Sentimental about You, Pure Innocence
Ink: Black
Paper: Saffron, black, white, October Afternoon patterned paper, SU watercolor paper
Accessories: Janome sew mini, waterbrush, reinkers, burlap flower, pink button, black twine, red line tape, red line dimensionals, clear embossing powder

  3. My friend and I were recently discussing about the prevalence of technology in our day to day lives. Reading this post makes me think back to that discussion we had, and just how inseparable from electronics we have all become.

I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Societal concerns aside... I just hope that as memory becomes cheaper, the possibility of copying our brains onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's one of the things I really wish I could experience in my lifetime.

  11. Wicked watercolouring! (I recently saw someone watercolour & then add Copics to deepen the shadows--seemed fun.) But this soft looking sweetie is perfectamundo just the way she is. LOVE the flower and your flawless stitching too! (If I could machine sew so perfectly, it'd save me hours a week, days a month, weeks a year.... 4 years a decade... ;o) LOL
