Introducing... Die-namics from MFT!

Hi everyone and welcome to a SPECIAL, one-day-early MFTeaser.  Today, we are revealing a BRAND NEW product to MFT: Die-namics.

As the name implies, this a new line of DIES!  I could not be more excited!  The dies are available for sale on May 5, 10 PM EST, along with a TON of new stamp sets.  It's an exciting time here at MFT!  :)

There are THREE new dies releasing on May 5th @ 10 PM EST:
  • Cloud Trio $14.95 (Offers 3 sizes of clouds, all in ONE convenient die. The smallest cloud measures 1.25" wide x .70" tall. The medium cloud measures 1.89" wide x 1.06" tall. The largest cloud measures 2.51" wide x 1.41" tall.)
  • Jumbo Scallop $10.95 (Measures 6" long, with each scallop measuring 1.5" wide.)
  • Scalloped Scallop $10.95 ((Measures 6" long, with each scallop measuring 1.5" wide.)
The design team has done some AMAZING things with the dies and have come up with some pretty GENIUS things to cut with them, so be sure to head over to Kim's blog at 11 AM EST for a complete list of participating designers.

My card uses a surprising material, so be sure to read all the details below. :)

The scalloped border was die-cut with the Jumbo Scallop die.  See that cool material I cut?  Guess what it is?  A GIFT BAG!  Yep, I have been on the prowl for materials to cut with my Die-namics and found a pink, lace-covered gift bag at Walmart!  It was on clearance for $2.  I cut it apart, and now I have some fun "fabric" to use with my Die-namics.  YAY!

I used a Big Shot machine to cut with and used the "normal" stack of the multipurpose platform and the 2 normal cutting plates with the gift bag material and die in between the 2 clear cutting plates.  Easy peasy and it cut like a charm. :)

You can view DT and customer creations using Die-namics in the SCS gallery HERE

Die-namics can cut a TON of things and the design team has been working like mad to come up with MANY materials that can be used with the dies.  Here are a few of them:
  • cork
  • felt
  • sandpaper
  • heavy card stock
  • patterned paper
  • denim
  • vellum
  • fabric
  • foam
The list goes on... you'll have to check out the rest of the DT members creations to see what else you can add to the list!  :)

Here is a peek at the 3 dies being released on May 5th:
CLOUDS!  I've seen them EVERYWHERE... patterned paper.. stickers... and NOW we have a DIE!  *swoon*  I am SO excited about these!
This jumbo scallop is the perfect oval shape, and the wide spacing sets them apart.  Another awesome thing about these edge dies is that they NEST inside one another.  How cool is that?  I didn't use that technique with my card today, but I did with a card that will be posted on Monday, so I'll be sure to remind you then.

So, which one is YOUR favorite?  Can you choose just one?  LOL

Don't miss the card details:

  • Swarovski crystals on her crown & shoes

  • Diamond Stickles on the candles/icing

  • Lace-covered gift bag used with the Die-namics Jumbo Scallop die
Card Supplies:
Ink: Memento Black

Accessories: Swarovski crystals, Diamond Stickles, word window punch, SU rose red brads, Die-namics die (released on May 5th @ 10 PM EST), Janome sew mini, Copic markers, Bow Easy, May Arts ruffled ribbon, red line tape, red line dimensionals

Hero Arts girls

Hi all and sorry for being MIA.  I blinked, and a week had gone by.

I did find some time this past weekend to stamp some cards, JUST FOR FUN!  :)  YAY!  I had purchased my daughters some cute little girl stamps from Hero Arts and decided that I would make some cards using those stamps.  They remind me of Greeting Farm stamps, but in mini version.

For this card, I used Paper Girl, from The Girls' Paperie.  It is a new (to me) company, that I found on 2 peas, and I REALLY love the girly, vintage-y feel.  I stamped the image in  Memento black, colored with Copics and used an old sketch by Taylor (TECC57).  The image is from a MFT stamp set, Essential Sentiments

My second card uses all the same papers and supplies... you know me... efficient stamper.  While I have all the matchy matchy stuff out, you better believe I am going to crank out more than one card... try SIX.  LOL  I'll try to space them out so you don't get bored with my paper choice.  heehee  This card uses a sketch by Amy R.

I'm off to stamp.  I'll see you back here TOMORROW for a SUPER SPECIAL sneak peek of a BRAND NEW MFT product.  :)

Stamps: Hero Arts, MFT Essential Sentiments
Ink: Memento black
Paper: Paper Girl by The Girls' Paperie, rose red, white, smokey black
Accessories: Rose Red brads, red line tape, red line dimensionals, Janome sew mini Copic markers, Swarovski crystals, burlap flower, SU cord brad, Nestabilities

Have a WONDERFUL day!

  4. Top Shelf Sentiments FREE ($9 value)
I went a little wild exploring all the different uses of the new Sheltering Tree stamp set. I used the Sheltering Tree digi paper pack for each of these cards. It's a fun paper pack, that really goes well with the stamp set!

This card uses the solid leaf circle stamped over the tree trunk in chalk ink, and then I sewed buttons between each leaf cluster using linen thread.

This card uses the circle leaf stamp again, but this time, it was stamped on vellum card stock with chalk ink and then cut out with my Nestabilties. The trunk was stamped with brown chalk ink and then cut out. The circle was adhered over the trunk with brads and felt flowers (which were a gift from my friend, Michele). I used a Martha Stewart grass punch. The animals were stamped, colored and cut out.

This card, again uses the circle leaf stamp over the tree trunk stamp. Then, I stitched around the circle and cut out individual leaves, which were glued into place.

My final card with this set, uses the tree trunk and leaf stamps. They are designed to line up with the tree trunk for easy, simple stamping. I added a couple buttons to the card, but left it pretty simple.

HB2U

Hi all and happy Friday!  I have a quick card to share today!  :)

This card was made with the newly released A Lot of Bots stamp set by MFT.  I just love little robots and this one is TOO cute!  :)  I only did a little bit of coloring.  Most of it was paper-pieced using MME patterned paper.  The sketch is courtesy of Taylored Expressions (TESC107).  When I saw the strip of circles along the bottom on the sketch, I just HAD to use a ton of these adorable little screw brads.

Ink: Memento black, PTI black
Paper: MME patterned paper, white, smokey black
Accessories: May Arts ribbon, screw brads, circle punch, circle nestabilities, red line tape, red line dimensionals

My project tonight, uses the brand new set, Clearly Sentimental about Mothers.  If there is one thing I get sentimental about it... it's my kids.  I was literally tearing up as I was making this project.  Just seeing their sweet little faces makes me melt!  These pictures were taken in a photo booth at the mall.  Every time they see one, they can't help but jump in there and start being goofy.  *giggle*  I thought it would make a fun piece of home decor.  These pictures have been propped up on my stamp table for many months and I wanted to incorporate them into something I could display.  These pictures make me SMILE and the sentiment is SO true.  :)  My favorite thing is being a mother!

I got this frame at Target a couple years ago.  It has a nice, deep "shadow box" type construction, which allowed for lots of layers and embellishing.

Ready to hop along?  There is SO much more to see!  :)  Your next stop on the hop, is Melody!  I am quite certain she has something BEAUTIFUL to show you!  Thanks for stopping by.

Baby Bumps and Mothers...

Hi all and welcome to day 5 of MFTeasers!  Today we are featuring FOUR new sets.
  • Baby Bump (I used this one)
  • Baby Bump Additions
  • Clearly Sentimental about Babies
  • Clearly Sentimental about Mothers (I used this one, too)
If you'd like to see a list of all the designers who have a teaser posted today, please check Kim's blog at 11 am EST.

This card uses the Baby Bump stamp set.  She is stamped on watercolor paper and watercolored using reinkers and an empty water brush.

I used another of those fancy Prima flowers from Michaels on this card.  Many of you have asked if the "stuff" comes on the flowers.  YES, it does.  :)  I removed the strands that come out of the center of the flower and instead added a large, flocked brad.

I also added 3 flocked brads in the lower left corner, as the sketch I was using called for.  The sketch is courtesy of Taylor

My next 2 cards use the Clearly Sentimental about Mothers stamp set.  This is JUST in time for Mother's Day.  I used it to make cards for my kids.  Several of the sentiments in the set lend themselves to cards for mothers OR any other family member.

We'll see you tonight for the release party in the MFT forum from 8-10 PM EST.  All the sets will be released at 10 PM EST in the MFT store.  Also, the Blog Hop & Shop starts at 10 PM EST, so see you back here soon. :)

Have a WONDERFUL day!

Sweet Spring Jolinne

Hello, everyone!  Thanks for stopping by today.  I am back at it with MORE teasers using sets that will be released by MFT on April 7 @ 10 PM EST.  Today is day 4 of teasers and we are featuring the 2 new Jolinne stamp sets.  If you'd like to see all the designer's peeks, head on over to Kim's blog at 11 AM EST for the complete list of participating designers.  You'll want to see them ALL!  These new sets are ADORABLE!  The two sets being shown today are:
  • Sweet Spring (I used this one)
  • Sitting Pretty

This is Jolinne - Sweet Spring.  It is the most adorable little girl stamp set that includes a ballerina, a tiny dancing bunny, and fun elements like grass/flowers and a tiny bird.  There are adorable sentiments that come in the set as well.  I am a BIG fan of this set. :)  Jolinne was stamped with Memento ink on white card stock, and then again on pink polka dot paper.  She was colored with Copic markers.  I paper pieced her dress.  To make it shimmery, I painted it with Shimmerz Angel Wings.  I used MFT's Swarovski crystals (2 mm) to line the belt of her dress.  I also painted over her tights with Shimmerz.  The Primas are called Fancies and I have had them forever.  I love them.  The trim is NEW and was a gift from my friend, Michele.  I LOVE it.  It is SO pretty.  The lower scallops are actually from a die cut piece of paper and it came that way.  My friend Joanne, enabled me to buy the entire line of this paper.  It is called Girl Paperie.  YUM.  Love it.
Stamps: Jolinne Sweet Spring (available April 7th @ 10 PM from MFT) Ink: Memento black, PTI black Paper: Girl Paperie, white, smokey black Accessories: Prima Fancies, Swarovski crystals (2mm), vanilla brads, Copic markers, Janome sew mini, glue dots, shimmerz, red line tape, red line dimensionals, lace trim, circle nestabilities Thanks for stopping by.  I'll see you tomorrow!  :)
