If you are just happening upon the hop, be sure to start at Kim's blog.  There are SO many projects to see, and I don't want you to miss anything.

I had so much fun with the new stamp sets.  First up, let me show you my "take" on Who's That Girl Goes Green.  When I saw this set, I thought of GREEN as in MONEY.  LOL  I was using My Mind's Eye So Sophie paper and I had purchased a fun BINGO card with my sheets of paper, so I decided that my Who's That Girl was going to be a bingo bag-toting chick with one kind of green on her mind: $$$!

I whipped out several MFT sets to make this card happen AND used some "tricks" that I think you will find handy.  I used the 7 from Make the Date.  I used the You're Lucky sentiment from Bling Bers.  See her little bingo bag?  That tiny bingo card is from the PACKAGING of a pack of mini Jenni Bowlin bingo cards.  The packaging had a cardboard piece that showed 6 mini bingo cards available, and I just cut that out and used it for her bag.  Fun trick, right?  There is one more trick that I HAVE to share with you.  I LOVE My Mind's Eye patterned paper.  Recently, I have noticed that they have added these fun little "borders" to many of their papers, which includes the brand name, the name of the paper AND a little "swatch" of the paper that is on the opposite side in a fun border type shape.  I have been cutting those off to use ON my cards as a strip of paper/embellishment.  What should be trash, has turned into a treasure.  It's one more way to stretch your crafting dollars.

On the inside, I added a sentiment that comes with the set, and to tie in my $$ theme, I adhered the lower portion of the bingo card I attached to the front.  It is the directions off the bingo card, and I thought it added a fun little somethin'.

Another set, Costumes from Wonderland is being released tonight.  It is "Alice in Wonderland" themed.  The characters are SO cute.  I actually made one card with each of the characters, but in the interest of time, and NOT boring you to death, I will share one today and the other 2 another day.  :)

I chose my favorite of the 3, using the "Queen" image.  I look at this card and the first thing that comes to mind is: CONTRADICTION.  I am a super LITERAL person, so the fact that I used a PINK rose with a sentiment that reads: "You Paint My Roses Red", is a little annoying to me.  LOL  I had to use pink though... it matched the flowers that my queen is holding... and it stands out against my red patterned paper... but I HAD to say it out loud so you don't think I am color blind (fun fact: my husband is actually color blind).  It's pink... not red... but I did it in the name of matchy matchy ok.  Don't hold it against me.  LOL

Now that I have made the biggest disclaimer ever, let me show you the card:

Don't miss the details:
  • Glitter on the queen's crown
  • Clear glaze pen on the center of the flowers in the bouquet
  • Prima flower at the end of sentiment flag
OK, let me wrap this up, because I am SURE you're ready to hop along!  Next up is a super-special guest designer, Kerry J.  If you haven't heard her name before... you've been missing out.  She ROCKS!  Be sure to add her to your google reader while you're there.

Thanks for stopping by.  I'll see you tomorrow with another Costumes from Wonderland creation.
