Framed Greetings Hop & Shop

Welcome to the MFT Hop & Shop.  If you've just happened upon the hop, be sure to go all the way back to the beginning at Kim's blog, so you don't miss anything.  Remember that there is blog candy hidden somewhere along the way, and the only way to win is to comment as you go. :)

All the new releases are available NOW, right HERE in the MFT Boutique.

I'm excited about the new Die & Stamp Set Duo: Framed Greetings.  For only $19.95 you get BOTH.  The set alone has a value of $15.95, so you are getting a GREAT deal.  This set lends itself to quick and easy cards, which is something that I tend to steer clear of.  LOL  I made it a personal challenge to use this set in a clean and simple way.  In fact, I turned to the Card Creations magazine to find some clean & simple layout inspiration.

The Framed Greetings stamp set contains 3 frame stamps, 4 nice-sized greetings, and 3 accessory stamps, which allow you to replicate the design on the frame elsewhere on your card.  fun!

Here is my quartet of clean & simple cards.  I used every frame and sentiment to show you all the set has to offer.

I pulled in fun elements on each one to add a little pizazz.  Did you see that Jumbo Open Scallop Die-namics die?  It is SO SO cool!  I also used plenty of ribbon, wood buttons from the Earth Girl collection, twine and Kraft paper.

I have a little tip for you when using your Framed Greetings stamp set & die.  Let me outline the steps to successfully (and painlessly) using the die and matching frame stamps.

Lay the stamp, image down inside the blade of the Framed Greetings die.  Be sure to situate it properly, making sure it matches the shape of the die, but that all parts of the stamp are INSIDE where the die will cut..

Grab a mounting block, and press it on the stamp, to adhere.  You'll easily peel the die from the stamp, and your stamp is now perfectly positioned and ready to stamp.

Ink up the stamp and carefully position it on the already-cut-out Framed Greetings die-cut.  Pay special attention to the top and bottom points when aligning your stamp with your die-cut.

I hope that trick helps you as you use this set and die. :)

Well, I think that is about enough blabbing from me.  I need to send you on your way now!  Next up, is my ultra-talented, super sweet friend, Michele.  I am SURE she has something that will knock your socks off, so get ready to be inspired. :)
