Oh Baby!

Hi everyone and welcome to day 1 (of 2) of MFT Teaser Time!  It's time for the mid-month release, when the newest VIP Collection and à la modes stamp sets are available for purchase.  The new à la modes will NOT disappoint.  Talk about ADORABLE!

The à la modes stamp set we are featuring today, is Oh Baby!  The set is great for baby cards, mom-to-be-cards, and even cards for any other occasion, when choosing sentiments from other sets you have.

I decided to use pastel(ish) colors for this card.

She is colored with Copic markers.  I drew in the grass with Prismacolor pencils in greens that matched the patterned paper.  I used Nestabilities to cut out my image.  After it was cut out, I left the paper IN the die and used a pencil to trace the inside of the die on my image panel.  Then, one stitch at a time, I followed the pencil line to stitch around the oval.  I never used the foot pedal.  I just cranked the little knob on the right hand side of the machine.  If you are VERY careful, you can end the stitch, in the hole you started in, leaving one continuous stitch.  That way, you don't have any funky stitches on your oval.  I love that.  Funky is NOT good when it is in an oval (or circle).

I love the new Dainty Lace Border.  It so dainty... and lacy... LOL  No, really... it's a classic pattern that isn't so ornate you can't use it with cutesy images.  You know me and my rules... LOL  That just reminded me of Made of Honor.  LOVE that movie.  (stamper's ADD)

Here are some details about the release this Tuesday night:

  • The MFT release is on January 18th at 10 PM EST.
