Pretty Pocket

Hi all and welcome to Day 2 of MFT Teaser Time.  I have to admit I am in LOVE with the stamp set I used for today's cards - Pretty Pocket Die-namics and stamp set.  The pocket is a great size - big enough to take up the whole card front and make an impact, with so many great elements to jazz it up *just* the way YOU want to.

Me?  I was wanting to jazz it up with the Simply Scallops Die-namics die (ala boutique-style little girl's jeans) and the peace sign stamp.

I die-cut my Pretty Pocket Die-namics die with a denim patch (Walmart).  I like using patches because it cuts down on the fraying a LOT.   I stamped the stitching stamp using brown Memento ink.  I also stamped the word, peace, on the tag, and the peace sign.  I used the Simply Scallops Die-namics die to jazz up the upper portion of the pocket, and added a couple lines of stitching with my sewing machine.  I used some 3 mm Swarovski crystals in peach to adorn the peace sign.  I used some Basic Grey patterned paper I found in my stash.

I had so much fun with this stamp set, I just couldn't put it down and made a couple more cards!

For this one, I die-cut the pocket using some patterned paper and decided to add some real stitches instead of the stamped stitches.  I first sketches on some pencil lines using the die as a guide, then carefully stitched along the lines.  I added a row of peach 3 mm Swarovski crystals to jazz it up a bit.  I stamped the swirls and then layered over a heart that was stamped on patterned paper and then cut out and popped up.  I added the hello sentiment on the pocket tag.

Here is the last card I made using Pretty Pocket.  Again, I used a denim patch to die-cut my pocket.  I stamped the stitches on with brown memento ink.  The flower and leaf cluster were stamped on patterned paper and cut out.  I adhered them with pop-dots.  I stamped the bloom sentiment on the pocket tag.

So, what do you think?  Isn't the pocket SO cute?  I am in LOVE with this set and die.  :)

Here is a peek at what you get with the Pretty Pocket Die-namics and stamp set:
