Ready, Set, Hop!

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by tonight!  It's time for the monthly MFT Release Hop and Shop.  If you're just happening upon the hop, please be sure to head to Kim's blog at the beginning so you don't miss a thing.

ALL the new stamp sets and Die-namics dies that I have shown you over the past five days are available NOW right HERE in the MFT Boutique.  I'll wait patiently while you shop... I'm SURE you're ready!

Tonight, I have the pleasure of showing you cards made with the Perfect Pinwheel Die-namics and stamp set.  I am in LOVE with this die... I have to admit.  It makes such cute, quick, and versatile cards.  They make happy cards, and that fits just about ANY occasion.  :)  I'll even show you how the die works below, so be sure to scroll all the way through.  :)

I used some My Mind's Eye Lime Twist  patterned paper from my stash.  I made a "scene" with Flat-Bottom Clouds cut with felt, Fresh Cut Grass cut with felt, a sentiment flag cut with the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics die, and a twine-covered piece of bamboo skewer.

I added some machine-stitching to the sentiment flag.

Here is another pinwheel card I made using a more "serious" color palette, with Girl's Paperie patterned paper.

The pinwheel petals were sprayed with a light pink Glimmer Mist.  The sentiment was stamped on a sentiment flag from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics die.

I don't think I'll ever tire of making sweet little rows of overlapping scallops using my Simply Scallops Medium Die-namics die.  It's so girly and gorgeous!

See that text "paper"?  That is actually the Girl's Paperie packaging from a package of ribbon that I used as paper.

Here is a peek inside:

Here is a look at the Perfect Pinwheel Die-namics and stamp set

Let me show you how to assemble a Perfect Pinwheel.

First you'll need to cut 2 pinwheel die-cuts, as well as a sampling of center pieces so you can have choices when you are assembling.

Adhere the 2 pieces together with a piece of strong adhesive.

Be sure to center the petals so they are perfectly staggered.  Watch the gaps in the paper to perfectly space them.

Pull all the petal tips forward to the top of the pinwheel stack.

Choose the center pieces that you want to use with your pinwheel.  You can use just one, or stack two together and use them.  You can also use anything else you want as a center.  Just stick a brad through it.

At this point, I also mold the petal up a little with my fingers to coach them to fold more easily.

Insert the brad through the center pieces, and then add the petal tips through the brad as well.  When all 6 petal tips are through the brad, press the brad through the center brad hole in the base of the pinwheel.  Easy peasy!

Here are the other dies I used in my creations.

Thanks for hopping by, but I better send you on your way!  Next up is the talented Frances who has some eye candy using the Perfect Pinwheel Die-namics and stamp set!

See you soon for Wednesday Stamp Club.
