Autumn

Hi all!  It's day 2 of MFT Teaser Time and I am excited to show you my card for today.  I used the soon to be released Inspired by Autumn stamp set.  The pumpkin image is just SO pretty, don't you think?  I used some gorgeous new patterned paper from Crate, Farmhouse.  It's a match made in heaven with this stamp set.

I made a bow with some gorgeous suede May Arts ribbon I have in my stash.  My new trick: sanding the edges of the patterned paper for a distressed look.  Like all my other phases, this too shall pass... please bear with me.  LOL  I curled up the edges of the patterned paper and the pumpkin panel to add a bit more grunge.  I'm pretty sure that's a rule with Farmhouse paper.  It shouldn't be pristine, right?  *wink*

I had a lot of fun coloring it!  :)  The grass was drawn in with Prismacolor Pencils and the image itself was colored with Copic markers.  As I do with all stitched circles, I took it one stitch at a time using the knob on the side of the machine.  It's slow-going, and causes my hand to cramp, but MAN I love how it looks.  I just work through the pain.  LOL

  25. Well your pain n perseverance is well appreciated, your card is beautiful. You are super.
I must confess I was laughing when I read how you got your stitches so perfect. As a sewer I know how hard it is to maneuver something as stiff as card stock in a sewing machine. I too have a hard time. You did good girlfriend.
