And while we are at it, how about we make your life even easier with a "cheat sheet" of all that's new? Head over to the MFT Blog to print out the NEW shopping list.
OK, let's get to it. I have a LOT to show you today! :)
First up, I used the AMAZING First Class Friend Die-namics and Stamp Set. I have to warn you. It's ALREADY become a fast fave. I have literally already stamped 6 or 7 cards with it, so I hope you love it as much as I do. LOL
I used this AMAZING patterned paper from MME and the whole thing just POPS.
I used eight stamps from the First Class Friend stamp set to create this card. There are so many elements that mix and match to create a gorgeous end result. Backgrounds, accents, and focal sentiments, all in one fabulously HUGE 6 X 8 stamp set. Have I mentioned I love this set? A LOT! LOL
To create the frame:
- Cut three black postage stamp frames using the First Class Friend Die-namics and adhere together with a small amount of liquid glue, one on top of another, to create a thicker frame.
- Coat with Crackle Accent
- Let dry for a LONG time (overnight)
- Lightly sand with a sanding block to get rid of the shine. It is SUPER shiny when it is dry... which is ok sometimes, but not for this card
I whipped out my Banner Strip Die-namics to spell out I HEART YOU along the base of the card using the Typewriter Alphabet. I used some pretty lace trim (thank you Karen van de Walle).
I wanted a little something to add to the upper right corner, so I ripped a single ticket from the Mini Ticket Strip Die-namics and stamped the XO from the stamp set on it.
Here is a peek inside my card.
My next card features the new Homespun Birdhouse Die-namics and Stamp Set, as well as several other new dies: Woodgrain Fence, Mini Pennants, Branch with Leaves, Fresh Cut Grass, and Notched Tag (small heart).
The Homespun Birdhouse is totally scrappy, completely adorable, and a BLAST to create with. It's very little stamping and a whole lot of fun!
Do you see me? I'm the pink bird. My husband (the blue bird) is taller than me. We're love birds. Get it? LOL Too corny? That's me... Miss Sappy. LOL
Let me start with the Woodgrain Fence Die-namics. It cuts. It embosses. It's pretty much the coolest die on the block! For my fence, I cut it out of kraft card stock. Then, I "direct-to-paper" rubbed my Versamagic chalk ink dew drop over it to "stain" it, and the embossed pattern showed up SUPER well. I just love it. Plain and simple. I want to add a fence to every card I make. LOL You'll notice the Fresh Cut Grass Die-namics looks great with the fence. It was designed to work with the grass die perfectly. Love that!
Here is a look at the Branch with Leaves Die-namics. It was designed to work perfectly with the birdhouse. Since I have the birdhouse perched on a post, I just added the branch in the scene and added the ADORABLE embossed leaves. Do you SEE those things? ADORABLE! The center embossing line helps train the leaf to kinda bend in the middle and adds a LOT of dimension to them. SO flipping' cute!
The Homespun Birdhouse Die-namics comes with all the parts and pieces you need to build a super-cute birdhouse. I cut the roof twice and layered them over one another to add some dimension. I opted for the circle "opening" and stamped the nest in the lower portion of it. I added a small heart from the Notched Tag Die-namics die in the center. The tiny circle die-cut is also part of the die set. It's the "post" that birds can perch on. The base is a cute scalloped bottom that can be used either right-side-up or upside down. Either way, it looks adorable.
I have to mention and show you the ADORABLE Mini Pennants Die-namics. It's CA-UTE! There is one post and 4 pennant pieces (2 "layers" per shape). I want to add a banner to everything. It's just FUN!
Here is a peek inside, where I added a sentiment from the Homespun Birdhouse stamp set and another mini pennant (I couldn't resist), as well as a bird perched in a nest.
I think that's enough excitement for one day, don't you? LOL I know you have many other designers to visit. In summary, the Die-namics this month are out of the world spectacular and you need them all. In duplicate (in some cases - and if you read my post from earlier this week you are not shocked to hear me say that LOL).
