I Love Being Your Mom

Hi all and thanks for joining me today for the MFT Design Team Creative Challenge.  Our Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative side using a specific theme, product or technique. This month, "It's all about Mom" Be sure to check the MFT Blog for a list of all the designers who have creative project ideas for you today!

I went with an untraditional card idea.  Mother's Day is my absolute favorite holiday.  I LOVE reading sweet notes and receiving sweet gifts.  I spend the day counting my lucky stars that I am lucky enough to be the mother of three incredible kids!  For a change of pace, I decided to create a card FROM a Mom, instead of to one.  How neat to be able to reciprocate on the spot and take a moment to let a child know that while it may be Mother's Day, I also have many reasons to be thankful, and writing those down to give them on Mother's Day.

I grabbed the ADORABLE new stamp set, Cute-a-tude, for the occasion.  I cannot get enough of that sassy stance and sweet attitude.  LOL  I chose the sentiment, "I Love Being Your Mom."

She is colored with Prismacolor Pencils and her dress is paper-pieced with patterned paper.  I added some deep blue shading behind her.  The cute pink brads are from Pink Hedgehog.

I used the Open Scallop Doily Die-namics as an accent behind all the layers.

Don't forget to check out what the rest of the team has submitted for the challenge on the MFT Blog.  You can click the banner below to be redirected.
