Hello, Friend - Be Awesome

Hi all and thanks so much for stopping by today.  It's time for MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch #80.  If you'd like to see what the rest of the participating designers came up with click on over to the MFT Blog.

I was feeling inspired and came up with 2 cards for this week's sketch.

First up is a card inspired by my daughter, Madeline.  She has been going to tumbling classes twice a week for a couple months now, in an effort to improve her tumbling skills for her first year on the cheerleading team.  It's been a joy to see her improve and I wanted a card to encourage her to keep trying hard.  The new Gymnast Pure Innocence stamp set is just what I needed!  The adorable "Be Awesome" sentiment is stamped on the Mini File Tab.

Her school colors are black and gold so I centered the card around that.  I dressed her in a polka dot leotard and she was colored with Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils.

My second card uses Freckles.  She is so cute.  I went for a soft color palette with lots of white space.   The sentiment is stamped on one of the Sentiment Strips.  I added a little strip of Simply Scallops along the bottom of the card.

She is colored with Copic markers.  I paper-pieced her shirt and pockets.  I added some blush cheeks and a tiny bit of pink above her nose.  I added a simple strip of Sweet Tooth Ribbon to the card.

Here are the Die-namics I used:

Here is the sketch for you.  I hope you'll play along.  :)

Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog and the MFT forum on SCS (look for the most recent WSC thread).  You'll need to upload your card in the SCS gallery using the keyword shown on the sketch. You will have the chance to win up to $20 in MFT money. One winner is chosen at random each week!

Go get sketchy with MFT!
