Make a Scene!

Hi all and thanks for stopping by today!  The MFT Design Team has been challenge to Make a Scene for the monthly Creative Challenge.  MFT has a plethora of stamps and Die-namics that makes creating a scene a BREEZE.  :)  Be sure to check out what the rest of the team came up with HERE on the MFT Blog.

First up, I created a scene using the new I Wheelie Like You stamp set.

She was colored with Copic markers.  I added texture to her jeans with a piece of denim and Copic Colorless Blender solution.  I stood her behind some Sour Apple Felt Grass (using Grassy Edges Die-namics), that was placed along a grassy hill (made with Snow Drifts Die-namics).  I also added some Sweet Tooth Felt clouds using the Cloud Trio Die-namics.

The balloon is from the Cupcake Cutie stamp set.  I stamped it, colored it, then went over it with my Copic Colorless Blender marker to create a translucent look.  I cut it out and tied Hemp Cord around the knot and popped it up.  The sky was airbrushed blue and I airbrushed the upper left corner with yellow to represent the sun.

I pierced the card stock and actually tied the balloon around her handlebar and left a curly tail.  To create the curly tail, I "curled" Hemp Cord on my crystal setter (it gets HOT).

I finished off the inside with a sentiment from PI All Occasion Sentiments, another grassy hill, and another balloon, complete with curly string.

For my second card I wanted to create a simple scene with less layers and "stuff".  I used the new Cupcake Cutie stamp set for this card.

The dog was stamped and colored with Prismacolor pencils.  I drew in a sidewalk with my Copic Multiliner and then colored the sidewalk.  I drew in some tufts of grass coming out of the cracks of the sidewalk.  The sky was airbrushed blue.

I mounted the simple scene on a Kraft card base and added a sentiment, which was stamped in Black Licorice ink.

Be sure to head over to the MFT Blog to see what the rest of the team came up with for this fun challenge.
