Fancy Butterflies - Mixed Media Style

Hi all and thanks for stopping by today.  I have a fun card to share today that I created for a make-and-take recently at the MFT Store.

This card was inspired (heavily) by Mona Pendleton's recent creation that you can see HERE.

I incorporated lots of fun tools and tricks on this one.

The butterfly was coated with silver embossing powder.  The Mini Royal Rose was cut from Smooth White Card Stock and spritzed with MIX-ables Mist that was colored with Grape Jelly Refill.

On the front square, I embossed Mixed Media paper with the Houndstooth Stencil and then sprayed with MIX-ables Mist that was colored with Blu Raspberry and Grape Jelly.

On the back layer, I added some strokes of gesso and then sprayed on top of that.  I also added a strip of text from Art Expression Text in Black Licorice on Smooth White.

If you haven't tried MIX-ables Mist yet, you should. It's amazing quality and provides lots of gorgeous shimmer.  :)

Thanks for stopping by and I will see you soon!
