Grand Holiday Greetings Trio

Hello all and thank you for stopping by. Today the MFT Design Team is taking you on a tour of all the new products available NOW, right HERE. Go SHOP SHOP SHOP for all the amazing new products. :)

I have several cards to share with you, all of which use the new Grand Holiday Greetings stamp set. I just love the large size of them!

Up first is this bright and cheerful polka dot creation. Lisa Johnson shared a BRILLIANT idea with me and I used it on this card! Guess what I used for the polka dots? The BASE of a stamp... you know... the part you stick ON your block. Yep, you'll never look at the back of a stamp the same again. Take a look and see if you can incorporate it into your card. I hear Lisa is going to be doing just that tonight, so be sure to check out her blog (link in the sidebar to the right).

The sentiment was stamped over the polka dots and then I underlined it with a fishtail flag from First Place Award Ribbon, which was stamped with a row of stars from Holiday Subway Art.

Here is a look at how I created the background.  I grabbed the silverware stamp from All Occasion Place Settings and mounted it upside down on my block. I started in the upper left and stamped a big polka dot.

I continued working on my pattern alternating between four different colors.

Here it is all filled in. I decided I wanted to make the background a little "deeper", so I grabbed yet another stamp with a circular base (this time from Timeless), and started stamped another dot within each dot, in the same color as the base dot.

It deepens the color of each dot.

Isn't that so cool?

Up next is the clean and simple card inspired by another team member, Amy Rohl. This represents Santa and includes a strip of "skin", his white beard, and then his jacket complete with a "sentiment belt".  :)

I used two velvet brads from my stash for the buttons on his coat.

Last is this Nightshift Blue and silver creation. I had a heck of a time photographing it.  LOL  I used the same technique used on my polka dot card, but this time used a small circle "base" to stamp just inside the lines of the Medium Simply Scallops Border.

The Nightshift Blue background was scored with the Scor-Buddy.  The sentiment was embossed with silver embossing powder. I used a tiny strip of silver card stock below the sentiment.

Did you know you can earn a FREE stamp set with a $60 purchase ALL DAY, EVERY DAY.  Our Free with $60 is an ongoing promotion with NO expiration date.  It's always a good time to shop MFT.  :)

Be sure to head back over to the MFT Blog to see what the rest of the team has come up with using the Brand Spankin' New products!  There is plenty of eye candy!

All the new stamps and Die-namics are available right HERE, right NOW.  (you can also click the banner below to be directed to everything NEW).
