January Release Rewind

Hi all and thanks for stopping by today.  Have you filled your shopping cart with MFT goodness?  The Brand Spankin' New Release is available NOW, right HERE.  :)

I have a couple projects to share with you all today, including this burlap canvas using the brand new Centerpieces Framed Lovebirds. I just LOVE the concept of Centerpieces! They are designed to cut, leaving the negative behind. The attached dies allow you to bring the scene to life by layering different colored die-cuts over the scene.

The canvas was prepped with gesso, then painted with 2 different colors of blue paint from Martha Stewart to create a "sky" behind the focal panel. The entire canvas was painted with Glimmer Glam Chandelier paint, which adds a touch of bluish glitter.

For my scene, I cut the Centerpieces Framed Lovebirds from a 5X5" piece of Kraft Card Stock and then colorized my scene with blue birds and green leaves in two different colors. I dotted the eyes with a fine-tipped black marker. The conveniently placed poke holes are the perfect guide as they lightly impress on the card stock.

The sentiment is from the gorgeous Love Story stamp set and was stamped in Versamark and embossed in white. I used Natural ink to sponge around the perimeter of the card stock.

I tied a piece of Sno Cone ribbon around the card stock and created a bow with the Bow Easy.

Up next is this quick and easy card using a layout I was inspired by, by Jen del Muro. I painted on a piece of Kraft card stock with chalkboard paint, then stamped the sentiment on it and embossed in white. I rubbed Sweet Tooth ink over it and then die-cut with a Circle STAX. The background piece was stamped with the Sheet Music Background in Grout Gray.

I added a few die-cut accents using Circle STAX, Fishtail Flag, Accent It - Holiday Traditions Elements, and Staggered Heart Border.

Have you done all your shopping yet? If not, head over to MFT and pick up YOUR favorites. :)
