Fin-tastic Trio

Hello all and thank you for stopping by. Today the MFT Design Team is showing you all the new products available NOW, right HERE. It's time for the New Release Launch! Go SHOP SHOP SHOP for all the amazing new products. :)

Be sure to comment on all the designers' blog posts tonight for YOUR chance to win one of 2, $100 Gift Vouchers as part of tonight’s New Product Launch celebration!

My cards today feature the Brand Spankin' New You're Fin-tastic set and Fishbowl Die-namics die set. I could NOT get enough of these two products! The awesome mix & match feature of the fish in the die set, plus the ADORABLE sentiments in the stamp set kept me happily stamping for hours! I can't pick my favorite of the three cards I made for tonight, so I'll start with the "golden" one.

The background was stenciled with the new Small Brick Wall Stencil using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink, and then was embossed with orange embossing powder. I created the scene with the included die components and stamped a coordinating sentiment at the top rim of the bowl.

The fish was popped up for extra dimension.

The bubbles were created by using the negative of the bubble die-cut as a stencil, drawing the bubbles in, and then filling them with Copic Opaque White.

Next up is my "aquarium" card. I once again created a scene, but this time, I die-cut the fishbowl out of a piece of Kraft Card Stock, and used the negative to house the scene.  The Kraft layer is popped up and the back is covered with a piece of thick, clear acetate to house the fish.  The sentiment was stamped along the top and I added three coordinating sequins for good measure. :)

Here is a view of the fish "under water".

Check out the dimension created by popping up the Kraft layer.

Last up is this fun "inlay" card I creed using the Fishbowl Die-namics. I added one piece of the scene at a time, while continuously building on the inlay feature. It was a fun technique that I will definitely revisit SOON.  The sentiment was stamped in black licorice hybrid, and then in Lemon Drop Hybrid repeatedly, on three lines.  I added 3 coordinating sequins as well.

Be sure to head back over to the MFT Blog to see what the rest of the team has come up with using the Brand Spankin' New products! There is plenty of eye candy!

All the new stamps and Die-namics are available right HERE, right NOW.  (you can also click the banner above to be directed to everything NEW).
