I STAMPED!

YAY! I stamped! :)

Jean, the owner of Stamp & Scrap Trap (where I teach a monthly technique class) asked me to make a couple samples with the new spring release A Muse stamps. :) I *only* bought 17 the other day! LOL I go NUTS for sentiment stamps and there were PLENTY for me to choose from with the latest release! YIKES! I had a ball coming up with some projects she can display in the store. I dropped them off this afternoon and of course found some things to buy. She had new stuff sitting on the counter ready to be checked into the system and I rummaged through it and picked out some stuff. YAY for having the opportunity to have first pick! LOL I LOVE it when that happens.
*The first card was made with the cute little bunny that reminds me of a PEEP. :) I cut a piece of card stock into a square piece that is about 3 3/4 X 3 3/4. Then, I used a piece of Stampin' Up! chipboard to trace circles with. The traced circles guided where I punched the circles. The bunnies were stamped on Stampin' Up! watercolor paper, then colored with an aquapainter and dye ink pad. I put liquid applique on the tails and puffed them up with my heat gun. Hubby told me it looked like popcorn... silly man! LOL The grass (another A Muse stamp) was stamped with Versamark on the Saffron piece of card stock. I dotted around the upper left circle with a white gel pen. the tag was made using the key tag punch from Stampin' Up. I finished it off with a short piece of gingham ribbon. It's one of those cards that makes me happy when I look at it. :) Cute little bunnies!

*This card uses the cute chick stamp from A Muse. I decided to paper piece him. I stamped the chick on a piece of Basic Grey patterned paper and then cut him out (minus the legs and beak), then I stamped the chick on SU watercolor paper and colored the beak and legs. I used my Quickie Glue Pen to attach the paper piecing to the watercolored image. I must point out that if you look at the lines on the chick and the lines on the paper, you will see that they are lined up. :) I'm all about having my "ducks in a row" if you know what I mean. LOL I don't think the planets would align had I not lined that up properly. LOL I distressed the edges of the card stock, added some paper piercing and faux stitching and added an ADORABLE sentiment "Miss You" on the actual card and then punched an oval so that it peeks through.

*This is a simple shaker tag created with Basic Grey patterned paper (Lily Kate). I used an existing tag from my paper pack and added the layer behind by trimming it to mimic the patterned tag. This was a simple project, yet showcases the wonderful SENTIMENT! This one, by far is my favorite! :)

I am now in "stamping mode" and hope to get back at it tonight. :)

Hope you're having a wonderful day!

Oh.... one more thing... I see DOTS in the near future! HMMMMM what could that mean? *big grin*
