Woohoo! The UPS man visited my house today. When I heard the hum of the truck I was sure it was the RIBBON, but instead it was my Stampin' Up order from the new catalog. YAY! I sat down immediately in my stamp room and mounted all of my new sets. I only got 6 I think and 3 were backgrounds, so it didn't take long. :)
I chose some masculine colors, but jazzed it up with some girly stuff. :) The medallion image is stamped in black, colored with reinkers and an aquapainter (note to self: do NOT use basic grey ink with my aquapainter! It is waterproof and stained my brush UGH!) Then, I cut it out and adorned it with 16 Swarovski crystals and some pewter Art Institute glitter. The scalloped and smooth circles are both cut and embossed with my Nestabilities. I love those things! I stamped the blue piece of CS with boho backgrounds in Versamark. Canvas is stamped with craft Going Grey craft ink on the grey layer, but it is very hard to see. The sentiment was made using 2 different stamps. One was out of the new sentiment set called Many Happy Returns. I mounted each word separately on cling foam. The "friend" came from boho backgrounds. On the stamp with the 5 lines of things (shapes and sentiments), I also mounted that one stamp on cling foam and cut it apart into 5 different stamps. I then cut the word friend away from wonderful because I wanted my sentiment to read: Fabulous Friend.
Stamps: one of a kind, boho backgrounds, canvas, many happy returns
Ink: going grey craft, black stazon, soft sky, blue bayou, versamark
Card Stock: basic black, basic grey, blue bayou, soft sky
Accessories: SU taffeta ribbon, Janome sewing machine and grey thread, Swarovski crystals, pewter glitter, quickie glue pen, dimensionals, Nestabilities, horizontal slot punch, Tonic paper distresser
I am expecting the ribbon any day now. I would guess in the next day or two. :) I'll keep ya'll updated. :)
Have a great day! :)
This is GORGEOUS! I guess I'm going to have to buy Boho Backgrounds after all...
