I just love that sentiment. It is so cute! :) I found it in a Hero Arts clear stamp set I have had for quite some time and have never used. LOL
This color combo is a little bright for me, but I let my Peerless water colors do the talking and after I colored my floral image from Echoes of Kindness, these were the colors that matched. :)
I stamped the flowers on Fabriano watercolor paper in Stazon black and then used my Peerless water colors to color the image. I went a little wild with the blue and lightly color washed the entire background with the exception of a "halo" of white peeking out around the image.
The background layers are stamped with BG stamps and I added some stitching, brads and ribbon to pull it all together.
Stamps: Hero Arts sentiment, SU Echoes of Kindness, polka dot SU, distressed circles CHF
Ink: white craft, black stazon
Paper: white, black, regal rose, green galore, watercolor paper
Accessories: janome sew mini, silver brads, ribbon, watercolor brush, Peerless water colors, Nestabilities, red line dimensionals, palette
This is gorgeous!! Love the layering you do with your papers!
ReplyDeleteOH it's BEAUTIFUL Jody! I love the pink and green. It doesn't seem so bright. All those layers, stitching, brads and ribbon are wonderful!

ReplyDeleteIt is NOT a Jody color but you did a great job....OK, Stitched down the center of the ribbon then pulled it a bit OR is that crinkled ribbon?
