Little Miss Thang!

I made this card using Kraftin' Kimmie StampsMichele hooked me on them!  This girl is so cute with her little rag dolls.  :)  I thought this Bella sentiment was fitting since she's all dolled up in her pretty dress and lush curls. :)

The image was stamped with Memento black and she was colored with Copic markers.

I hope you all are having a GREAT December!  Monday will mark another shopping day for me.  My kids have quite the lists this year.  LOL  I can usually predict what will be on my kid's Christmas lists... but this year I was in for a couple surprises... first of all, this is the FIRST year that my daughter, Madeline did not include a mini fridge on her list.  Mind you, she is nine... and is not allowed to eat or drink in her room.  LOL  I think she has been including that for about 4 years.  LOL  This year, her list is full of board games, DSI games, Wii games... oh my!  My daughter Bailey wins the "prize" this year for the most original gift request.  Ready for this?  She wants a cash register... not a toy one... not just a box, but a REAL, working cash register that prints out receipts and everything!  LOL  Did you know you can get one at Staples for $99?  It meets all the qualifications (that she had) and it's real.  LOL  So, I bought it.  It has been ordered and will be delivered to my local Staples any day now.  I plan to fill it with some change and some dollar bills and I am sure she will be THRILLED.  I will also be buying her some FAKE money so that when friends come over, they are not playing with real money.  LOL  I think this will be just what she needs to complete her store.  :)  She often has a spa, pet store, movie theater... you name it.  I am sure it will get lots of use!  Now that you all probably think I am CRAZY for buying my daughter a real cash register, let me ask you this:

Question of the day: What is the craziest thing on YOUR child's Christmas list and will you buy it for them?  :)  Post your response below.  I am looking forward to reading your responses and seeing if I am in good company.  *wink*

Jody

  3. Your card is adorable -- what a fun layout! I love those Kraftin' Kimmie images!

My girls would LOVE a real cash register -- they're always playing store! One year Megan put a pony on her list -- but I don't think she was serious! It definitely wasn't under the tree, that's for sure!! ;)

  6. Super cute card, Jody!!

My 8 yr-old son's wow item on his list this year (and last year) was a shed. Yep, a shed. He even said he'd worked it out with his great-grandpa to have electric wired to it for the heater he'd requested on his other list to Santa. Sheesh! My little boy is wanting a man cave at age 8.

    Thanks!

  7. Jody, I think that's a wonderful idea! That cash register will help her learn how to make change, which, is a very important thing to learn! Some people (myself) still have trouble w/ that in their adulthood!

Last year my daughter wanted a cupcake maker. That's all she talked about. She didn't want anything else. She was only 2 1/2 at the time. She got it and has played w/ it ONE time! Doesn't help that the only thing it does is ice cupcakes!!!! So, for future readers, don't get the cupcake maker!!! Or as my Olivia likes to call it: The cupcake makah!

  8. My 9 year old daughter wants a bow for archery hunting...and the list says specifically 'a cool one like dad's - not a toy' LOL - We're still thinking about it. She did get her first deer this year, so there's no doubt she'd want to try bow hunting. :)

  11. I don't have any kids but my 6 yr old niece wants a REAL hamster - and her Mom and Dad say no way. So I've been looking at the Zhu Zhu Hamster - of course you can't find it anywhere but when I got the idea I did not know that it's the hottest, hardest to find gift of the season!!!

  22. Great card! My son wants a Claw machine--you know those machines found in store lobbies that have a claw hand and you have to try to pick up a stuffed animal. His version picks up candy. Why does he want one you ask? So he can make money. Yes, I get the privelege of buying him the machine and the candy and then I have to buy it AGAIN from him when I use the Claw. Did I buy it? No, but I convinced his aunt to get it!!

  23. Great color choices on this card, very fun!

I love kids Christmas list. My son has had the XBox 360 and a phone on it forever (he's 10 and has an XBox and Wii already).

Every year at Thanksgiving he takes all the ads and writes out his list with the place he found what he wanted and the price.

This year it says AT & T LG Xenon- Free - Radioshack. FREE??? Guess he didn't get the conversation we had awhile ago on the MONTHLY charges.
