Heartfelt

Hi and welcome to the MFT Blog Hop & Shop!  If you're just happening upon the hop, be sure to start at the beginning, at Kim's blog.  You won't want to miss any of the fab creations by the design team.  There is so much to see and be inspired by!

ALL the new stamp sets and Die-namics dies that have been shown over the past 5 days are available NOW in the MFT Boutique.

My project today uses the newly released stamp set, Heartfelt, brought to you by the same artist responsible for the Loveosaurus stamp set.  Need I say more?  Adorable.  REALLY adorable.  :)

I was inspired by the quilted coat and decided to make something with warmth in mind. :)  This is a box I created, that holds Hot Hands hand warmers.  They are not super effective, but they are a nice novelty that my kids enjoy slipping in their pockets on a cold day.  When I am feeling desperately cold (my hubby has me living in an ICE HOUSE most of the time LOL), I slip a pair in my socks to keep me a little warmer in my stamp room.  LOL

She is stamped on X-Press It Blending Card Stock and colored with Copic markers.  I added Sparkly Fluff to her mittens, scarf, and hat pom poms.  I used my airbrush to spray in the ground, and to add some warm grey tones around her.  The snowflake was created with a die-cut from my Let it Snowflake Die-namics die and Diamond Dust glitter.

Here is a shot of the inside of the box.  I started with a piece of 4 1/4 X 11" card stock.  I added a simple pocket that holds 2 Hot Hands.  It is kept closed with a Basic Grey magnet closure.

I was having so much fun, I decided to make a matching notebook to make it a gifty duo.  I am getting plenty of use out of my new Cinch binding tool.  :)  I kept it pretty simple using only a sentiment from the Heartfelt stamp set.  I used several Die-namics dies on the cover; Hearts a Plenty, Dainty Dots, and Textile Rectangle.  I used plain copy paper for the inside sheets.  I take a ream of paper to a local print shop and have them cut it for me, for home-made notebooks.

Well, it's time for me to send you along to your next (and last) stop. It's time for you to head over to the guest designer, Nicole Rixon.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you tomorrow!
