Fun with Large Scale Backgrounds

Hello all and thank you for stopping by. Today the MFT Design Team is taking you on a tour of all the new products available NOW, right HERE. Go SHOP SHOP SHOP for all the amazing new products. :)

I have several cards to share with you, all of which use the new Large Scale Backgrounds stamp set.  I just LOVE it.  I am embracing more simple cards and having large backgrounds helps keep the "stuff" to a minimum.  LOL

Up first is this clean and simple card using Sending Thanks and Large Scale Backgrounds.  You'll earn Large Scale Backgrounds FREE with a $60+ order.  At a $15.95 value, that is a GREAT bonus!

The dots from Large Scale Backgrounds were stamped with Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink.  The sentiment is stamped on a piece of Smooth White Card Stock that was coated with Martha Stewart Chalkboard Paint.  I LOVE the realistic look when using the paint. It's SO cool.  I highly recommend it!  The sentiment was stamped with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder.

I used some postal elements from Sending Thanks to accent the card.

Check out the shine of the "chalkboard".  LOOOOVE.

Up next is this card that I used the same "chalkboard paint effect" on.  I used the Chalkboard Frame Builder to create a frame, which was stamped with the wood plank image from Western Backgrounds.  I added some staple accents to the frame to add a little bit of rustic to an otherwise bright card.

Check out that chalkboard shine.  :)  The sentiment was embossed in white.  I added a Mini Rolled Rose to the corner of the frame.

I used the border from Blueprints 6, cut from Smooth White.  The background is the houndstooth from Large Scale Backgrounds, stamped in Limeade.

Finally, I got a little "mixed media" for this card.  I stamped the large dots on the background piece (which is painted over so they are very faint).  I also stamped the butterfly with the dots. The background was created with several layers of paint.  I used the Winged Beauties Stencil and Modeling Paste on the background and inked them with Kraft ink to distress them a bit.

The butterfly is perched on a High Tea Doily, cut from Smooth White and sprayed with Sheer Shimmer Mist.

The "HELLO" is from Blueprints 7.

Did you know you can earn a FREE stamp set with a $60 purchase ALL DAY, EVERY DAY.  Our Free with $60 is an ongoing promotion with NO expiration date.  It's always a good time to shop MFT.  :)

Be sure to head back over to the MFT Blog to see what the rest of the team has come up with using the Brand Spankin' New products!  There is plenty of eye candy!
