XOXOXOXO

Hello there and thank you for stopping by today. I am back for day 2 of the MFT January Release Countdown. There are just SIX more days until the new release products can hop in your shopping cart. Be sure to head over to the MFT Blog for full set and die reveals for the day.

My card today uses a new stamp set and Die-namics die set by Mona Pendleton, Distressed Hearts. I created a fun shaker card and the new die set made it super easy!

The "ring", inside, and XOXOXOXO sentiment were stamped with the new Distressed Hearts stamp set.  I used the fun mini splatter stamp to accent over the Typewriter Text Background, which I inked "messily" by putting my card stock over the inked stamp and tapping the card stock with an acrylic block so it didn't ink the paper fully.  On the side strip, I added a row of Patterned Triangles in Grout Gray ink.

I created a shaker card using the Distressed Hearts Frame and the Sticky Stuff Shaker Set. I filled it with clear microbeads in an acetate window.

The sentiment was stamped on the strip included in the die set and layered over a Lemon Drop Card Stock strip.

I stamped a coordinating sentiment inside.

Here is a look at how I created the shaker.  I used pieces from the Circle Shaker Set, the Distressed Hearts Frame die-cuts, and acetate.

First I adhered the acetate to the frame using the red line circle.

Then I added the foam circle over the acetate.

I filled it partially with clear microbeads.

Then I set up a "base" with the stamped image, and turned it upside down over the beaded half to frame the heart in the opening.

Here is what the finished shaker card looked like before I adhered it to my card.

These products and many more will be available for purchase on January 7 at 10 PM EST.  Be sure to check out the MFT Blog to see what the rest of the team has come up with today.
