Wonky Blueprints

Hello all! I am excited to be playing along with the Creative Construction Blueprints Challenge today.

Wonky (I love the word wonky) panels are trickier to execute than they might appear at first glance. This month’s challenge focuses on Blueprints 15 and Blueprints 18 that make creating die-cut panels with a little sass to them quick and easy.

I created 2 cards. One uses elements from both sets of featured Blueprints and the other uses a sketch directly from Blueprints 15.

I'll start with the wonkier of the 2 (have I mentioned I love the word wonky?)

I used Blueprints 15 for this card. I stamped Happy Birthday Background along the Persimmon portion of the wonky panel. I separated it with a strip of Smooth White and then created a peek-a-boo circle below with stitching surrounding it, in which I placed a star. A sentiment from Totally Happy embossed in white finished it off.

Up next is this colorful creation. I laid strips of card stock over the diagonal panel in Blueprints 18 and then trimmed them down to follow the shape. I mounted it on a stitched rectangle from Blueprints 15. The star of the show is a Television, complete with colored word "COLOR", which I was able to execute with my nifty MISTI tool.

Thanks for stopping by today! Please be sure to check out what the rest of the team came up with on the MFT Blog. I am sure they have some creative and fun ideas to share with you.

See you soon!
